Bay Lake Towers Top of the World Lounge - Yes Please!

O. My. Goodness.

I had no idea this existed...I thought people were talking about the old Top of the World Lounge when I heard it mentioned.

I want to go there, but I'm confused from the comments. Is it open to the public, or just DVCers? Anyone ever been? Looks beautiful!

Just guests! Isn't that a bummer..but you can do with someone who is staying there!

My friend Jess went a few years ago and all her family lives in FLA. They came up for the day and had a big old party up there. The pictures looked AMAZING.

As far as I have heard, you have to be a DVC member and be using your points to stay at BLT to be able to go to the lounge. you have to use the elevator on the first floor to access it and have to check with the desk to get in it.
I have never been there though so thing may have changed.

I heard they were definitely being pretty strict about it when it opened. I don't know if they've lightened up at all.

I should add that my friend who went owns DVC at Bay Lake Tower.

This is going to probably be a really stupid question...but are there really that many DVC people around to only open a lounge to them? I mean, at high times, I can see it. Because - correct me if I'm wrong - but it's not like a "club level" i.e. free thing - right? I'm probably grossly underestimating the number of DVC members, aren't I?

Isn't Olivia's open to the public? And Sanaa? I know they're restaurants, but still. Are there other DVC-exclusive places on property?

I feel like I just discovered another dimension Laughing out loud

I found this website that I thought was pretty helpful:

http://dvcnews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=983

It seems like it's a pretty small space since it only serves 77 people..it looks like people who rent points at DVC at BLT can go there too.

I'll have to check out the link. I thought it was bigger than that, owing to the capacity signs in the DFB piece. Thx, Bella!

That info could be old and or full of crap..so who knows! Pictures are more likely the proof though!
