Christmas Card Picture

Next month, it's my goal to get a family picture taken for our Christmas card. I may even bring our Mickey Santa Hats with us. I've been thinking of getting our picture in the Days of Christmas Shop at DTD, but I'm not sure.

If you could pick anywhere in the theme parks, where would you get your "Christmas Card Picture" at?

So many places to choose from. I'll have to think about it and get back to you.

I'd probably go with in front of Cinderella Castle at night when all the holiday lights are on.

Jeff had a great location and another one to think about is somewhere in the Osborne family lights at Hollwood Studios.

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. Hands down. The tree there is AMAZING! I know the Cast Members take professional pictures in front of it, and wish we did that first year we were there. Next time were there when its up... we will be doing it.

So, where would you get your picture taken if there are no holiday decorations up? Wink

Another place that might work is at the Christmas shop in the Magic Kingdom. There is a place outside to the left of a side entrance and they have a Sled (Sleigh) parked there for pictures. They do not mind if you climb on it for pictures, and if I remember correctly if you can get the right angle you may be able to get the sleigh and the castle in the background.

Now that I think about it more, I think the Hall of Presidents is in the way AND the angle would be wrong, BUT it may still be an interesting photo op. for you, with the Christmas Shop windows in the background.

P.S. the sleigh is there year round.

We dress the family and drag the teens for a Christmas card picture every year. We've done several with Mickey/Minnie, in front of the castle, in the Christmas train at dtd, in front of the lego store, and last year we did one in front of the Christmas shop at the Osborne lights, with the snowman it was cute. We used to get the kids opinion, and incorporate their fave character, ride etc. but they don't care anymore sad We just spruce up a little (usually go to Disney bummy because who cares and it's crowded, so comfort rules). We usually just coordinate colors or fun christmas apparel and go do the picture first so that hair-dos don't get messed up. After the pic who cares! There's a million places, be creative and have fun. This year we're thinking the Poly marina with a sailboat (husband is a sailor) or on a (Disney) beach. I like the swing on the beach at the yacht and beach club, that could be cute too.

oh yeah, all the resorts have great photo ops too, the life size gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian, or the chocolate gazebo in boardwalk are great choices too. Boardwalk has a ton of photo ops w or w/o holiday decorations. Fort Wilderness by the geyser would also be cool...ok, too many choices, I'll stop thinking about it for now.

That's what I was thinking..there is pretty much always one there!

And the place Vettelover mentioned as well is good a Christmas-y...I could be dead wrong but I think it's snow covered as well.
