Disney Floral & Gifts

Hello all!!!

As I've made mention of, in my pre-trip report for our October trip, my cousin and her boyfriend have agreed that they'd like to join us for one of the two weeks we're at WDW. They'll be staying in AKL with us, in their own studio.

When I really got going with the whole trip planning thing a few years ago (making spreadsheets and binders and holding pre-trip meetings and the like) I was introduced to Disney Floral & Gifts. It was love at first click. The idea that I could put in an order for an amazing surprise welcome package for the people joining us was almost too good... Until I saw the prices.

Disney isn't cheap. Disney has never, in my experience, been cheap. Though - as far as bang for your buck goes, Disney delivers (and how!). As my cousin and I share a birthday (I'm pretty sure I'm the worst gift she's ever received XD) the month before the trip, and it's her and her boyfriends first trip together, as well as their first to The World, I want to make sure they have a very warm welcome.

Their flight will likely have them landing a few hours before us, so they'll arrive at the resort and have access to their room before we've even landed. It would be an extra nice little surprise to have something waiting for them when they get in.

Has anyone used this service before? I've read the reviews online and it seems like people love it - but I'd love to hear from you guys! What did you get? Was it delivered on time? Was it worth that gaping hole in your wallet/purse?

Lemme know Smile

I used Disney Florist for the first time this January. We were very happy with them!
Yes, it was expensive, but for what we got, I felt the price was right on.
It is not customary to have a gift waiting for you on your first day of arrival.
From their website:

Individual gift items including floral: Disney Floral & Gifts delivers these items to your resort. The resort team delivers to your room between the hours of 9am to 9pm.

Please note: for delivery on your arrival date, since your room is not pre-assigned, the gift will be delivered after your arrival.

Hope this helps some!

That is quite helpful! Thank you Smile

Also that Villains package looks like purple and black heaven!

There are a few offsite companies who do this at less of a cost than disney floral. One is destination occasion and another is mockingjay services. Might be worth a look

I've never used Disney or any offsite delivery services, but I've heard rumor only Disney will actually deliver to your room. All other companies leave it at the front desk. Do you know if this is the case, Robyn?

We've used the Disney Floral service several times. I'll find some pics, but Joe surprised me witha birthday package once, and we both did the rose petals romance package for each other.

Always pleased with the service and the surprise.

They only made a mistake once - my surprise package was set up in the wrong room! When I called, they were so apologetic and sorry for the mix up, and promised to make good on it the next trip. And boy did they ever! Customer service rebound for the win Smile

Some pictures would be awesome! The ones on their site look insane, but obviously those are staged and over the top - so I'd love to see yours, JeffC Smile!

Other companies leave at the desk and then bell services deliver, at least that was my experience Smile

I have been on both the giving and receiving end of Disney floral. I think they are very good at what they do and for a special luxury experience I don't think they are overpriced. Just a note that if you order any package with alcohol in it they will not deliver to the room. Your recipient has to pick up from the front desk with ID.

Also very good to know! So even if it's two adults in the room with no children they won't deliver the cider? Hm!

Here is the Villains gift as it arrived....lots of awesome wrapping paper and it included a nice silver tray
which was not mentioned in the description....it looked very rich when it arrived!

We never go to MK the first day in a park..usually its AK...so I had this gift waiting in the room for
the day we returned from MK... I think it might become my "tradition"... I like that having it waiting after
a day in MK continues that extra magic and pixie dust!
