Yay! 3 in one year is quite an accomplishment!

I'm trying to pack a lot of punches into our February trip while still being relaxing. I'll be looking for small details to write about on the blog and fun things to share. I need to taste lots of new foods & beverages 7 adventures to fill 2015's editorial calender.

- First time at Raglan Road
- DTD Food Trucks
- Checking out the new Polynesian Lobby amd maybe Captain Cooks
- First time taking my family to Hoop-dee doo
- First time on 7D Mine Train
- First time at Typhoon Lagoon in 20 years
- Cruising with Tori for her first cruise to research employment for her

We're trying a few new things this coming trip:

1. Less planning! I still have a spreadsheet just to lay out our starting park each morning, but have kept it pretty light otherwise.
2. Only 3 ADRs! And one of them is finally getting us to try Beaches and Cream for dinner one night. And I have the No Way Jose sundae on my must try list. The Disney Food Blog and AJ are such horrible enablers.....
3. No regular camera this trip! We're leaving the clunky Nikon at home this time, and if we take any pics it will be with our cells.
4. Like Kristen, looking forward to the 7D Mine Ride!!
5. I'm SO excited about the new Haunted Mansion gift shop. So much so that I have changed the wallpaper on every electronic device we own to the purple HM eyes theme. Ha!

Robyn, I am jealous and impressed all at once - 3 Disney parks in one year!!!! Fantasmic!!!!

I have a couple of firsts this year too. I am going to Disneyland for the first time in May. I will attending a Disney wedding in July. For the July trip I am considering limiting the number of ADRs. It's going to be hot and I don't want to have a lot of heavy meals. I am thinking of trying one of the water parks. One day while I'm there my cousin and I are going to go to Universal / IOA to see the Harry Potter stuff.

IF you take pics??? eek LOL That would be SO HARD for me!!! I just got the Nikon coolpix L820 and it will be my go to park camera from now on. Of course I will still have the phone and take the big one but only use it on occasion.

DVC is on my agenda... Escrow papers came today. I am still trying to contain my excitement. As I am sitting her Joe just said "Poly will be our next property we buy at" WHAT??? We haven't even finalized AKL. I think I have him hooked on Disney.

We will be going on our first cruise which includes dinner at Palo and Blondie's first cruise.

I will be pushing myself and my friends to our limits with a very short ONE DAY visit in April. It's my first Flower and Garden visit so I am very excited.

I am very excited for everyone going to Disneyland and also a little jealous. Maybe I will get over my fear of flying and add it to my list at some point. I can always drive across country!

Might I suggest Amtrack? It's a beautiful trip and if you route through Chicago you can get off the train in Anaheim.

We're going to try renting a DVC villa for the first time in October. There are 8 of us going and I'd love to get a grand villa somewhere. We'll see! I'd also like to try Ohana for the first time! Come on October!

Grand villas sell out really quick so you should be booking like NOW to secure one.

I tried at the 11 months mark but there were not enough points available. I was told to try again at the 7th month mark when more owners put their points up for rent. I know it's a long shot, but I have my fingers crossed.

My Disney resolution this year is to take things slow. For our trip in December it will be my first time going with the in-laws (who are NOT ride people...like I'm going to have to fight to convince them to try Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, TTA, etc) and the first time taking a toddler (who will not be tall enough for the big rides). Taking in the sites and sounds, parades, shows, etc. will be big on this trip which I normally pass over for 5 rides on TOT. Going with the flow to fit Penny's schedule and mood will also be essential which, I can tell you, is a BIG change for the rigid planner in me.

We've talked about the train. It's a possibility! But that is a long ride from Charleston! wink

Our besties, Amanda & Ryan will be taking their infant son this summer and they were freaking out when we started trip planning last weekend because it's like a whole new experience navigating with a little person! Amanda and I did a girls trip two years ago. We were in Disney for four days and aside for the 14 hours total that we slept and adequate time to get ready in the morning and a few minutes to unwind at night, we were either in the parks or at DTD the entire time. We would have taken the boys, but they would have slowed us down! laugh So touring with a baby in tow is going to be quite an adjustment!!

You guys can do it! Disney is completely different when you have little ones with you, but it's just a joy to see it through their eyes. I have two pieces of advice that got me through touring when the kids were small. 1) I always used my own stroller, this goes a long way to making the kids feel safe and comfortable. 2) Pack enough for what you think is 2 days in the diaper bag. My kids went through clothes like crazy while touring and always extra diapers to keep up with extra liquids to keep them hydrated.

I'm going to Disneyland Paris for the first time ever in March! After that, we're skipping a summer holiday in order to save up and go to WDW for my 30th birthday in January 2016 (which I know, is another year, but it means I can spend all year planning our trip!) That will be my first ever birthday in a Disney park, but that's a whole year away, so in the meantime, I'm really looking forward to DLP. I read Tom Bricker's TR of DLP and it just made me want to be there, now! I think my Disney resolution is to spend more time soaking up the atmosphere, less time rushing around to get on rides. This should be very doable at DLP. We're also going to try to have a drink at each one of the DLP hotels.
