Disney World "Must Do" Restaurants

Riffing on the Must Do Rides idea, if someone was going to WDW for the first time and could only do 5 restaurants, what would you suggest. For me:

Le Cellier
Liberty Tree Tavern
Citricos
Boma
'Ohana

I'd have to add Crystal Palace to the list...I'm a huge Tigger fan and the food is good too!!

Assuming that we only consider table-service restaurants, here are my Top 5.

1. Boma
2. Marrakesh
3. Jiko
4. Crystal Palace
5. California Grill

For sure! There's no way I'm trying to order these:

Le Cellier
Yachtsman
Boma
Jiko
Crystal Palace (Eeyore edges out Liberty Tree Tavern)

Seriously some of the best meals I have EVER eaten at WDW was at Flying Fish while seated at the dining bar with my wife, watching the chefs prepare our meal and I am not an avid fish eater, I am definitely a Steak and potatoes guy. I wholeheartedly recommend it. A little pricey but in my humble opinion well worth it. awesome

So did you have fish or steak and potatoes? Any dishes you'd recommend?

OK, mine are self serving, but they work for me.

1) California Grill (always scheduled during fireworks time so you can go out and watch the fireworks)
2) 'Ohana (because it always brings back great Polynesian memories)
3) Liberty Tree Tavern (because it is good food, and reminds me of WDW from 30 years ago)
4) Whispering Canyon (breakfast!!)
5) Chef Mickey's (our opening night tradition)

For me I could put Boma as all five options, but more in line with spreading the wealth:
1)Boma
2)Ohana
3)Marakesh
4)Le Celier
5)We don't really have a fifth MUST, but we do tend to eat Pecos Bills every time...

Just realized I didn't do mine!

I think I'll go with:
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Jiko
Cinderella's Royal Table
Casey's Corner
50's Prime Time Cafe (it's fun, even without the fried cheese)

My 5th is 50's Prime Time (which we aren't doing this trip) because I think it is classic food and a fun experience!

And we are big eaters...we just haven't gone to a lot of places people are mentioning (Jiko, Liberty Tree Tavern, Yachtsman) so that fifth spot is up for grabs!

I think Jason's number 5 is Crystal Palace...he just didn't want to post it!

I like to go to places that I haven't eaten before, so I don't really have a "must do" list. However we did Cape May for Breakfast again and I was reminded why it's my favorite Character Buffet. So I think Cape May is going to be a must do from here on out.

I am in line with most of everyone's suggestions however I have to NIX 50's Primetime Cafe completely... I hated the food

What I am surprised with is that no one mentioned Tutto Italia... OMG its fantastic... the Sole was to die for, the Carbonara better than my grandmother's lol... Truly unexpectted food joy in Epcot... our Favorite meal of this last trip, even over Boma...

BabyBull - welcome! That's an interesting point. The sole sounds divine! Actually, I've never been there. We'd love to hear more about your experiences at WDW in an introductory post. When was your last trip? What are your other fave dining places?

We really liked the atmosphere at Hollywood Brown Derby. Loved the Prime time 50's. At the Hoop-de-doo revue, the food was amazing. La Hacienda had great food and we are still debating the last two on our list. We have lots of restaurants to try out.

I'm amazed at ALL the different places to eat! I guess that is just more reason to plan for more trips in the future! I have already added to and changed my ADR's twice! too many places to choose from! Wish my stomach could handle and I could afford to eat 3 table service meals each day! All of your posts are making me hungry!

After the trip we just got back from I would have to add Whispering Canyon, Ohana, and Mama Melrose to that list
