So pleased to read the start of your trip and glad everything is going well. Your enthusiasm for Disney can be felt across the pond. Continue to have a great time and enjoy the Mine Train, it is so pretty round there with some great photo spots.
It is great to read a trip report live from the world!
I am planning on trying some lighter fare when we head to the world in late July - so reviews on salads etc. are very interesting to me.
We loved Colombia harbour house and wolfgang puck express in the marketplace - I would recommend these if you have not tried them in the past. We used to take food to go from Wolfgangs and eat it on our balcony at OKW resort with a glass of wine!
Can't wait to hear about the 7dmt

Go check out the Boston tribute band for us! The little one (not really, she's 14) is bugging to come up tonight, we'll see, Mike is at the gyms and we have a few things to do. We will head up Thursday am and be there til Sat. then we're leaving for PA Monday so I'm trying to get things done this week.
I'll text or call you if we do come up tonight, see where you are and what you're up to!
Have fun and we'll see you Friday if not before

The pic looks ok on my phone- is it displaying wrong?
Not now.
What did it look like? I want to do it right next time. I just attached it from my iPhone.
It was upside down

Well rats! It showed right side up on my phone! Mr. Hub - I can't post straight from the phone without it going upside down? Sorry guys.
Yes you can Doc, you just have to make sure you hold your phone the right way. Hold it straight up and down then tilt it horizontally to the left, so your on off button and camera lens are on the left. Your volume buttons should be on the bottom left then.
Tuesday AM in the World!
Thanks Mr. Hub for the phone directions. I will try this out today and hopefully get it right.
So highlights from yesterday:)
Mine Train is awesome! Very smooth as some have reported. It goes by so fast, though - I felt sorry for those waiting over an hour for such a quick ride. I rode at night - would like to try it during the day too - probably next trip.
Tony'S Town Square was so good. My server helped me put together a meal of grilled chicken (seasoned great), veggies (squash, eggplant, zucchini - fabulous), and a app salad - for 15.96! I nearly fell over. I am glad I did not listen to the bad reviews - I love this place now! And I gotta say that those heaping plates of pasta sure did look good.
Low crowds during the day at MK! I spent about 10 enjoyable hours there - it just got crowded last night.
Starbucks on Main Street. Love getting my after dinner coffee and strolling around my favorite place.
Awesome CMs everywhere. Came out immediately at SS when my sliding door would not open. Concierge helped me get an earlier dinner time at Prime Time for Gail's arrival day.
Still loved the laid back quietness of SS.
Flag retreat - followed the band and cast back to the little alley to the right up from the hub after - the band exited, but a group of CMs stayed for a formal presentation of the flag to the veteran of the day. They applauded forever. Moving.
Low lights:
Lots of screens up in MK for renovations. But the have to - they never close the park!
No Peoplemover - my biggest sad thing. I miss Tom Morrow.
Festival of Fantasy and Castle Party show canceled due to thunder and spotty rain.
So today...FPs at Epcot, dinner at Captains Grille (another new place), hope to catch Boston band, maybe hoof over to HS.
Later!
Sounds like you are having a great trip so far. Can't wait to hear more!

And if you don't, I'll fix them for you so don't worry!
Thanks for taking us with you! The Tonys meal looks delish! So happy you are enjoying it all!
Loving the live trip reports!!!!! so glad you have a positive review of Tony's we have an ADR there in September
Keep the updates coming!
Wednesday AM - vacations go waaaay too fast.
Highlights of Tuesday:
It did not rain one drop!
Captains Grill at Yacht Club - very nice! SOOO sorry I forgot the dinner pic - I dug in because I was starving. I had an ADR, but I bet you do not usually need one. Quiet, elegant. I had a baked chicken dish (I am a chicken girl like Robyn) with some asparagus, artichokes, radishes, and a carrot puree. Not enough veggies for me though - I should have ordered a salad too. And they give the AP discount, which took me under $20 before tip.
Don't Look Back - Boston tribute band - they were awesome! I walked over after dinner and caught their last 2 sets of totally different songs.
Did I say how quiet Saratoga Springs is? How comfy the bed is?
Epcot - low crowds! Room to walk around that gorgeous lagoon at night. Enjoyed FPs to favorites in Future World.
The Jammitors! Those guys rock. One of my main reasons for coming back here so much (if you need a reason) is all the top shelf entertainment here, just everywhere.
Walking across the Boardwalk at night over to HS - beautiful. I left Epcot and hoofed over to HS to catch the bus back, just to take this walk.
Low Lights:
Hot now, but that is it.
Today: FPs at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe - another new ADR for me! Not sure what else yet - I like to wing it.
Sounds like you are having a great time!! Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Sounds like you're having a great time in the World! Can't wait to read more about your adventures. It's so fun that you are doing a "live" trip report.
Happy Thursday AM! Sunny this AM, but showers predicted again. Summer in Florida. My friend arrives early afternoon, and we have HS and Dinner at Primetime planned for tonight! Thus ends the solo portion of my trip.
Highlights of yesterday:
Dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe - a new place for me. I took a bite before the pic again - oops. At least I remembered to take one this time! I had the miso glazed salmon with lemon rice and crisp green beans. Very good, but a bit more salt and oil than I am used to eating.
The GF is so elegant. I will wait list until I score a room here at some point. Walked around the grounds after dinner - sun going down around the lagoon, boats running, sigh.
The orchestra at GF - just lovely.
Low crowds again at HS today. Did not need FPs I had, really.
Saw Little Mermaid show sitting in the SAME seat, exactly 3 months from the date I broke my wrist in there! Cool! By the way, I saw nothing that would have tripped me. Must have just caught my toe on the carpet walking too fast. Note: I have been really careful about that this trip!
The Muppets! My oldest son (26) loves them too and gave me a stuffed Swedish Chef from the Disney store for Mothers Day. We can recite most of the Chef's best skits - favorite one is making the "choc-o-lat mousch." Still on the lookout for a Beaker - 2nd favorite character. His expressions are priceless.
Great Movie ride late at night with a car of 20 people!
The Mulch Sweat & Shears band (renamed) at the hat! They are my fav band in all of Disney - they will "rock your FACE right off your......FACE!" There was a lady at least 75 that was jumping around like a kid and having a blast - of course they put her in the show. Last time I did that I ended up holding a cowbell!
Visited outlet mall off Vineland on the way to Publix - less than 2 miles from SS! Scored a cool Goofy shirt for my BF for 9.99, and a set of 3 F&G bags for 2.99 this time.
Walked a lot around Epcot and caught American Adventure and Voices of Liberty - another favorite! Of course I hoofed between Epcot and HS by the Boardwalk - twice I think.
Lowlights:
So much construction around the Poly. The walk from T&T to GF was not too scenic. But I know they gotta do this to make new stuff.
Enough rain to get my socks wet. Just took em off. Note to self: take extra socks today.
So onward to today......
Later!
oh wonderful times!!!! and now the friend has arrived!
Yep, waiting for her on the porch at Saratoga Springs. Have yet to go to park today - walked to DTD to get a couple of gifts, ate a salad and some GF leftovers, walked around this lovely tranquil resort.
I totally get how Jan and Joe stayed at the resorts and never missed the parks. I think I could do that too ....well, until fireworks time. BUT you could see those from the Poly...
