Disneydoc is off to Saratoga Springs!

Waiting for Fantasmic now - crossing fingers that rain will hold. Had been raining off and on often today.

Well.... We had dinner at Prime Time last night with a fun server. I got totally abused for being picky - kept asking questions about the food! Gail got abused for asking if the coffee was freshly brewed. The table next to us really got it.

Loved our evening in HS - super low crowds and no waits. Gail loved Fantasmic _

But the fun is not over yet. Yesterday was a blast!

Highlights:

Voices of Liberty in American Gardens Theater - a must do for 4th of July for me. Tried to rain but finally stopped.

The Wave for dinner! 5 stars, thumbs waaaay up. Grilled swordfish, fresh veggies, Cobb salad to share - the best meal of the week thus far! A new restaurant for me - I will be back there for sure.

Fireworks in MK - we watched them in Storybook Circus - cool temps, low crowds back there. Awesome.

Electrical parade - watched from Frontierland - best view ever.

Castle covered with American flag projection!

And another first - I closed the MK down at 1 AM and heard the goodnight kiss! Woooohooo! A cup of Statbucks after our dinner at The Wave juiced us right up.

Lowlights:

Pirates broke down and after nearly half an hour they walked us out! Got another FP as a bonus.

Crowds in MK - reached capacity and closed just after we got back in from dinner.

Our room - came home to a hot fridge. Food spoiled. Glass door to porch stuck again - already called once. Reader on door had to be replaced and now will not read again. Already spent a few hours over the past few days resolving room issues. Let's see what they will do for me today!

I feel bad bringing a friend along for the first time having raved about DVC to this!

Missing Julie and Mike last night due to crowds!

But we have had fun. Today we will go to AK - Gail has never been! Then over to Epcot for dinner at Coral Reef and maybe night fun. Since we are now party animals we might hop to MK again.....

Leaving day.

Kissed goodnight at MK again last night. Awesome in there from 10-1!

Ate at Coral Reef - perfect seat by the. Tank on the floor for huge sea turtles, rays, and sharks. Food pretty good, but not as good as the Wave. Gail loved her trout, but my Mahi Mahi was a little dry. Still good.

Loved AK yesterday, especially safari. Rode twice, using no FPs anywhere. Loved Lion King too. Will try to walk the trail there this AM before eating lunch at Rainforest, then heading home.

Tired, but so fun!

Home!

We able to see Finding Nemo in AK yesterday - Gail says this was her favorite of all shows, all parks (thus far...). She ranked the safari as her fav of all rides. AK was a hit - she is looking forward to more next trip.

Lunch at Rainforest was pretty good - very fresh, great green beans with mushrooms, wrap (me) and Chicken sandwich with some sort of special cheese (Gail). Each of us put half in a to go box for the dinner ride home.

But yikes - poured rain as we were leaving AK! I mean sideways, no letting up after half an hour, walking in a river rain! We were drenched getting to the car to drive 8 hrs home. Then missed getting the turnpike exit and added some time - hard to see signs or change lanes in the downpour. Delays also due to lots of weather related wrecks. did not really break free on the road till nearly 4 PM!!!

Stopped to change clothes and dry off as soon as the rain broke as we got up the road. And coffee!

Took a long time but smoother sailing once we hit the GA line. Then Starbucks, the rest of our lunch, apples, and conversation.

Arrived home at nearly 2 AM after driving Gail to her house. A great trip! Hope she will join me again. I really liked having a few days to myself and a few days of company too.

She does have an AP now.....

My cats are all over me this AM....so glad to see their mom. Got up anyway - not much sleep last night - for doctor stuff. PT missed all last week - sore wrist. But happy heart. I miss Disney this AM. Y'all know how that is.
