I've heard that the food can be good at the hotel lounges -- anyone ever eaten there? Might be a good way to save time, but still get high-quality eats. They're rarely full and you can often get a table even during peak dining times.

Hi admin,
Never ate in the hotel lounges, but you can get good sandwiches and NE clam chowder @ Yacht Club Galley.
Jim
No kidding, Jim? I never knew you could eat at Yacht Club galley! I thought it was just a bar!
The lounges seem fairly decent, but prices vairy across the board. There does not seem to be a set standard. Lets say you want to eat a danish and coffee for breakfast in the resort. You will pay more than if you get the same danish and coffee at the Bakery in Magic Kingdom. If Convenience is a factor then eating within the resort/hotel is better.
RAWBinAK -- Thanks for the info! Great tip!
Bella -- Did you get the sushi at Tambu or at the Kona Island sushi bar? I don't think the sushi bar was there on your last visit, so maybe it was actually on the Tambu menu?

I just saw this--old school!
It was the Kona Island sushi bar..they have JUST opened on our last trip. We had drinks at the Tambu then walked over to the sushi bar. My post was a little confusing--we didn't do them at the same place.
