Had to replace all 4 break roters today...Tips for saving up for WDW

I know we've discussed money saving tips before, but I think it's time to revisit this.

DH and I are going in 2012 for our 10th anniv, hopefully with some friends, but us for sure.

How do you save up money for WDW when you have to buy gas and do stupid, no fun maitenance repairs, etc?

Our $ we'd saved up just pretty much went into my car sad so we are starting almost from scratch again.

I do coupons, but should do more.

What do you do?

All my loose pocket change goes into a large jar DAILY , and you would be surprised how much it adds up. Also wifey does the same and it adds up twice as fast. Even when I have enough loose change in my pocket to pay for something, say a newspaper for example, I still break a dollar bill and get even more change to save.

Yep we have a big basket for change. That does add up nicely.

Rather than eating out... put that money into a jar for safe keeping

I know right!

Does your bank have a program like keep the change or Way to Save? My bank..whenever I use my debit card it puts a dollar into a savings account. It'd be awesome if I could KEEP it there instead of anytime it gets over $40.00 I get slap happy and transfer it into my checking account.

My wife and I have been working extra to pay for our trip in November. I try to pull an extra 5 hours for the pay period. Keep doing that just myself and were sitting pretty.

I'm salaried, so there's no working extra for money and since DH and I own a Hobby shop that he works at, my extra time is spent there, unpaid.

There's no room in my life for an extra part time job, so that just doesn't work. And DH just started getting paid by the store a few months ago (it's about a year and a half old), so his salary is less than what he was getting on unemployment. So the saving is mainly all from my salary.

Oh the fun of money...but we ARE going in 2012. I'm thinking now Dec 1-8 and renting DVC points, that's the cheapest time closest to our 10th anniv on Nov 23rd. Who wants to rent us their DVC points on the cheap? yay

This may sound stupid... but what about selling stuff on eBay? Maybe some old stuff thats sittin around not doing anything? I did that a while back to help pay for our season tickets for hockey. I had some old sports cards I didnt want anymore. Sold some DVD's and video games.

We're planning on having a garage sale - our little neighborhood is having a community one in a few weeks, and it's a great time to unload all the stuff collecting dust, and add to our Disney fund.
