Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I am new here!

I love everything WDW and LOVE to talk about food. I am extremely jealous of AJ for coming up with the WDW Food Blog first and I would love to meet her!

I am a chef in my real life and I am married to the most wonderful man in the world and we have a fantastic 8 y.o. son who is also a foodie and Disney fanatic!

While I have a son my DH and I enjoy Disney just as adults too. He took me on my first trip when we were dating, did our honeymoon in WDW and I have been hooked ever since.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Not officially booked yet but I have never been to celebrate the Christmas season and I think we are gonna take the plunge and go the first week of December. My only problem is justifying spending the money at this time of year! Now I have gone to everything else we wanted to try (F&W, Halloween etc.) and I have Christmas and Star Wars weekends left on my list. I hate crowds so Christmas time it is. I am holding out to see if Free Dining is going to be announced...any minute now!

Very jealous, I would love to see the World all decked out for Christmas! That is still on my Disney bucket list, too! Where do you like to stay when you visit, on property or off? Is there a certain resort you like the best?

Hello Lisa! welcome...we are going the first week of December as well and very excited to experience the Holidays at wdw

I hear ya on the free dinning, we are waiting as well but i'm not getting my hopes up too far (based on what they have offered so far this year), I imagine there will atleast be a package discount released as an option though. Are you going to MVMCP? we will have to compare notes!

Rides...
MK = All of the mountains, I guess if I had to pick one Space Mountain wins. Close second is Buzz Lightyear...I just love it!
Epcot= Figment (don't judge me, he is so stinkin' cute!) and of course Soarin'
HS= Hands Down ToT (If you made me pick one ride in all of the world this is probably it!)
AK = Everest

Restaurants
This is a hard one! I love so much food!
Parks = Fish n Chips in England or Le Cellier (I have never eaten in Italy but I have a feeling I'm gonna love it!)
Resort = Artist Point! Soooo yummy! Boma Breakfast is awesome too! Kona is amazing, macadamia nut pancakes (I can't take it!)
Misc = Flying Fish Cafe
Snacks = pretty much anything from Main Street Bakery, a cream cheese pretzel or rice krispie treat (they just taste different in WDW!)

The best resort, if you make me choose one is POFQ. I love the size, the price, the boat service, the bingets I also LOVE LOVE the Poly!

I will only stay on property and my goal is to stay at every resort at least once!

If we do end up going in Dec. I will go to MVMCP. I want to stay at the Contemporary but I think my budget will have us at AoA.

Oh I am also addicted to TRs! biggrin

Disney at Christmas is spectacular! We went the first week in December in 2010 and it's such a fantastic memory. mickey

Hello Lisa and welcome to Walt Disney World For Grownups . Happy to have you and glad you found us. AJ is a wonderful woman and does a fabulous job with the Food Blog doesn't she. We've come close to meeting her a few times , but always miss by a day or so, hours even one time, so I'm still waiting waiting for the day to meet her in person.

We are all pretty much foodies around here in one way or another, just different tastes. awesome

The Christmas decorations at Disney World are fantastic. I've been going the week before Thanksgiving and it's a great way to get in the Christmas spirit.

What a welcome! I have belonged to other boards and while I enjoy them no one has been this nice so soon! Thank you!

That pic with Sully is my fave pic of DH and I in HS. Not just b/c the pic is so cute but it reminds me of the wonderful time we had with Mike and Sully to ourselves for a long time! It was a freak chance and we had a ball. DS was there too and this was the best pic we got from PP. This was my DS first trip back in 2007 so he looks young there!
