We all know it is there. We all also know we will most likely never get close to it, but say you could stay in the hotel room inside the castle for the right price. How much would you be will to pay for this amazing experience? Just curious.

I would pay what we pay for a MK view at the Poly.
I would pay in the $300 to 400 range BUT only for 1 night, after all I can't blow the whole budget on the room.
Hrmmm.... that's a tough one for me. It's much smaller than our usual room. I think that if I had the option, I would be willing to pay $1,000 for one night in the Castle. I might even go higher, MAYBE as much a $2,000... but it would have to be for a super special occasion, it would be a once in a life time thing, and I would have to save for YEARS to get there.
I honestly don't think I'd make the splurge. Yes, it's an amazing room and in the castle...but I'm so frugal (and broke, haha) it's hard for me to imagine spending enough money to stay in a deluxe, let alone the castle. So I'd say my max would be $300 for a night, and even then I'd only stay 1 night.
Fall 2015: Master's Degree Graduation Trip, Details TBD! Can't wait to be back in the World!
Nov. 2014: Baby's First 1/2 Day at the Magic Kingdom; our date day at Hollywood studios
Jan. 2014: Our princess was born!
May 2013: Our POR & DCL honeymoon (& my husband's first Disney trip of hopefully many!)
May 2013: Our Disney-themed wedding
If I was offered a free night there, I would excitedly accept it, but I don't think I would pay for the experience. I heard that you are literally a prisoner in the castle! I think it would be a bit creepy to be the only guests in MK and everything closed and dark don't you?

I think I'd love being the only one in the park after dark. I'd be watching out the window for a Kingdom Keepers sighting (LOL). Of course, being confined to the castle might be a little boring. I think the most I'd pay is $500 for one night. I'm not sure I could see spending more than that.
I think I'd max out at $500.
I don't think I would do it. It would be awesome, but for the price they'd charge for one night we could probably stay in any other resort for at least two or three nights, and lots more at a moderate or value. I'd rather use the money to stay longer.
I am really shocked by the responses on this thread! I can't quite figure out what is going on. I think maybe my industry training kicked in because I am so far out of the ball park from the rest of you it's like I'm on another planet. Is no one factoring in a market value for this type of room?
$500 is the price for a standard garden view room during value season at the Grand Floridian. Is staying in the castle not "worth" more than that?
Do most people just not care where they stay as long as it's at Disney, making it have no "worth?"
I'm not trying to be snotty, just really trying to understand how my numbers are so insane compared to the rest. I feel like I'm missing something ... or have lost my mind (shut up Becks, no agreeing with that!)?
I seriously thought I was being conservative.

Nope, I would be more concerned about noise from people working outside the window over night. The Magic Kingdom never sleeps
Depends, would I be able to get up really early in the morning and mess about in the park as the sun rises?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. If I stayed here I would not be able to sleep, I would just want to slip out and walk the park to see what goes on in the night. At my current level of finance I would pay $1000 for a night. If I became wealthy I would go much much higher.
Kristen, I think your numbers are right on target. Which is why I would never pay to stay there when I could use the same quadruple-digit amount to stay several nights someplace else.
Although if I'd been picked to stay there free a few years back, I SOOO would've been all over that. And would not have been the least bit bothered by being there when everyone else (but the maintenance people) was gone.
I think this thread is really interesting. It is interesting to know how much people value the unique, magical experience of staying in the castle against staying for longer in a resort with facilities and other people. I imagine if Disney ever did allow bookings the room would be thousands per night. However, the question wasn't what we think the market rate for the room should be, but what each of us (with our different personalities, priorities and financial situations) would be prepared to pay.

I would pay up to $1500, but it would be for one night only.

Nope. I'm with you on this one. In fact, I'd pay for the castle LONG before I'd pay that much to stay at GF or Poly. The experience has to be AMAZING for me to pay that much, and I don't see the experience factor at the resorts, ya know?

That was my reason for answering that way also. Kristen you have nothing wrong & your numbers are not insane. My answer was for what "I" would be willing to pay.
Also a lot of people are only willing to pay for the price of a bed & a shower and are not interested in the frills of Deluxe rooms & resorts.
Now if the questions was "What do you think the Castle suite rack rate wold be, I'd say it would start at $2000 night at least. But do I think it would be worth that, no. Especially being locked down, no windows to see out of clearly or take pictures from, no access to food or drink, other then what you may be allowed to bring in. I'd rather put that kind of money towards the King Kamehameha Suite at the Poly.

That's where I was coming from and you summed it up nicely I could easily see it being advertised at $2,000+ a night and people willing to pay....I just would not be one of them. I think it would be neat to stay in the castle, but it's not something that I'm willing to pay an arm and a leg for based on the things I want to do and like to do.
The price for a night stay at Disney's Cinderella Castle would be based on the fact that it's not open to the public, the unique experience and bragging rights to claim, I spent a night at the castle! But when reality sets; you most likely would be locked in the castle. Rides, restaurants, and store would be closed. Cleaning crew and some associated noise would be your company for the night. Would I stay at the Castle for one night (if able), absolutely, could I afford it, no.
There are too many beautiful, charming, exotic, elegant, & fun resorts at WDW for me to spend my Disney dollars at the Castle.
But, if the opportunity to stay at the Castle should arise, drop me a line .
Too bad nobody here knows Tom Cruise and can ask him how much he paid when he stayed there last summer with his daughter.

He didn't pay!

Didn't know that. I guess it's all in who you know.
If I won the lottery, the REALLY BIG Powerball lottery, not just that $1 scratcher, I'd pay whatever to have the experience of staying there. I'd invited my mother and sisters and we'd have a grand time (my one sister would spend the entire time taking pictures of every nook and cranny). In my current financial situation, I don't think I'd pay $1000 to stay there for a night (which I think would be the starting price). I'd just dream....and then go back to my moderate resort!

I was going to say $1000 to $2000 as well! But considering it's the ONLY room like it in all of WDW I could see it going for something more like $25,000 per night. I wouldn't pay that much, but if it were only $2000 a night they'd have a 100 year waiting list!

If a foreign prince contacted Disney and offered them one million dollars for one night in the castle, what do you think the outcome would be?
If Disney says "that room is not for sale even for a million dollars" then the Prince says "Well, I will donate the million dollars to the charity that Disney is supporting this year, it would be a very nice gesture if you then invited me to stay in the castle for one night as your guest due to my generous support of your causes"
For the super rich there is always a way....

Yes I would pay to stay. I probably would have to save for ten years to do so BUT it is simply magical!!! That bath tub is just calling my name!! MY husband and I have been wondering though .....Are they still giving away a free nights stay??? I tried googling but there is no info out there. Does anyone know?? I still want to dream about being that one lucky person.
No they aren't. I goggled it yesterday and they haven't given a free night in the room since 2007.
Last August we got a Garden View room at the Beach Club, with a 30% PIN. So our room cost something like $280 per night. (Plan B was a Deluxe Alcove room at the Dolphin, teacher's discount, for just about the same price. When we got the PIN, I cancelled the Dolphin.) It was fabulous, and my idea of the ultimate Disney room.
That's pretty much my cap. (keep in mind, we're a family of 5-- most standard rooms are too small for us.)
If they GAVE me a night at the castle, for what we paid at the Beach Club, I would try it for a night. But there would be no Stormalong Bay, so I really wouldn't want to be there for my whole vacation-- my kids are total water rats.
So, yeah, I would pay one night's lodging. But, if it were much more than, say, $300 a night, I wouldn't be interested. We save for a long time for a Disney vacation; I would be unwilling to blow the budget on one night's accomodations.

Disney Channel held a competition here in the UK last year and the prize was a weeks stay at WDW inc 1 night in the castle. I didn't win
