How to Train Your Dragon

Anyone else seen this yet? I was looking forward to it and I wasn't disappointed. I'd recommend seeing it in 3-D as some of the flight scenes were really cool. I didn't really have any complaints with the movie. If you haven't seen it yet, do you plan to?

We're thinking of going over the Easter weekend. Nice to have a positive review before we commit.

We saw it this weekend and (to my great surprise) really enjoyed it. After Alice a couple of weeks ago, I didn't think I would like another 3D film as much, but this one has a great storyline and interesting characters. Also, great animation!!!

It's not "UP" but it's definitely worth seeing.

Up is a fantastic film. Really looking forward to seeing HTTYD, though!

Really was great, wasn't it? I love that they can do so much emotionally with a essentially ludicrous storyline. Doesn't affect your emotional investment at all.

I said the same thing to DW. I found it quite remarkable, that it had me hooked (and a bit teary...but shhhhhh) minutes in.

I think everyone was teary at that movie, and they're saying that Toy Story 3 is worse!!

The whole Toy Story premise for the later movies is based on the idea of kids moving on from their toys, which is just a traumatic premise if you make the toys alive!

Well we enjoyed it. It's a really easy to follow film without being too predictable and a few good laughs. It's not a very long film either which all means it should be a sure thing to watch with kids.

Aparently Dreamworks used the guys who did Lilo & Stitch for Disney to do this one and the influence shows when looking at some of the dragons.

I JUST read a review yesterday that said the same! Now that I think about it, the dragon was definitely very "stitch-like" in the eye area... laugh

Good points that it was easy to follow without too much predictability. I was biting my nails there at the end.

I didn't know that about Lilo and Stitch. I'm surprised more studios don't follow a "steal talent from Disney" approach.
