Just saw this article today. Some good points to make next time we get that tired old questions of "But why do you go to Disney so much?"

LOL...I agree about the walking, however, the rides don't help my stress...In fact I'am still on medication after my Space Mountain ride..
Yes plenty of walking for sure as we all need that from eating all that food. LOL on the muscle building from gripping the bars. And I agree with King Fergus as MOST rides are not stress relieve.

This is why I NEVER feel guilty chomping on my kringla all by myself when I'm there, even when I chase it down with a Mickey Premium.

I know this is true! I actually lost 3 pounds when I went in February! Of course the half marathon couldn't have hurt.
There was never a doubt in my mind, I always come back the same weight or less by a few pounds. I was down 5 lbs last trip, but I gained it right back at home.

You just need to build a replica of the World Showcase in your backyard and you won't have this problem anymore.

One trip we all wore pedometers to see just how far we walked. We were AMAZED at the miles that we put on.....until we found that the rides actually cause the pedometer to think you are running. While it is still a lot of walking, probably not as many as the meter told us.
I will admit, despite all the indulging, I don't gain weight there, so we must be doing some balancing.

"George Banks and all he stands for will be saved. Maybe not in life, but in imagination. Because that's what we storytellers do. We restore order with imagination. We instill hope again and again and again." Walt Disney
Absolutely, who needs a gym when you've got the greatest outdoors recreations & activity center in the world!
I tend to ignore the weight scales a few days before vacation, during and a few days after the vacation. I assume it'll go up or stay the same. You do a lot of standing and that burns more calories than sitting and I assume most of us sleep better on vacation than at home so that could also help......
"All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day, not above them but part of them.
And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."
Hahaha great points!
