DH & I went to DL for 9 days last October for our 10th anniversary. We had planned on a week, then decided to get annual passes, so that week turned into 9 park days. It was amazing not be rushed.
Well 5 months later those APs are just itching to be used again, so we decided to take DS (5) to DL this spring. I cannot take time off in the summer, and our passes expire Sept 30th. We decided just last week to go, and are now booked for the end of April. Well not only are we taking DS, but my mother is coming to, so we decided to drive. This is where the crazy part starts.
We are driving.
From Vancouver Island.
We are talking about 24 hours of driving each way. But it gets busier.
Days 1,2,3 Drive to San Diego
Days 4 & 5 Legoland, then on day 5 after a full day of Legoland, drive to Anaheim
Days 6,7,8 DL
Day 9 is a Saturday and a block out day on our AP, so just going to Goofys for a late brunch, then lounging around the hotel or going to the beach
Day 10, 11 DL
Day 12 drive to Las Vegas, we have family there who have wanted us to visit for years
Days 12,13 hang out in Vegas
Day 14, 15, 16 Drive home
We will be renting a scooter for Grandma, she has some knee damage from a couple of car accidents and can't handle the level of walking required. Question for those who take scooters to the park, can they be used in the ride lines? Or should we look into a guest assistance pass? She can't stand on hard concrete for a long time. She will have one of the small travel scooters, we are renting it here and bringing it with us, so we will have it for all legs of our trip.
