Hi all, we are back
I would really much rather be back on that boat but I guess life has to go on. I felt lost in the mornings with no internet access and laptop. I really should have taken it just to be able to type. I was making notes in my phone, I hope it helps.
So, without further ado, here we go!!!!
I was hesitant from the start about this trip. I have been on many cruises and have been to Disney many times and I wasn't quite sure how they would combine. I love to plan and I felt out of control. Even with the daily navigator I felt lost... Where it it, what time is it? I need to study that thing for a day or two and have it all planned out. I missed a couple things because I forgot what time it was or where it was but other than that, it was great! Anyway, enough about that....
Day 1 Saturday Jan 31 - We left home about 7am stopped for gas, drinks and a doughnut. Then we were southbound. We arrived in St Augustine about 11:45. And we were starving. We headed straight to the Columbia Restaurant where we had Cubans and Soup. I had the black bean and Joe had the Cuban bean soup. Good as always! This was one of my favorite places when I lived in Tampa!
After lunch we headed to the Pirate Museum to get ourselves geared up for the cruise. I think it was about $30 for all 3 of us. It was a neat little place, a lot of interactive stuff to do. Not something we would go back for.
We then walked across the street to the Castillo De San Marcos National Monument. You can walk all around the structure but you have to pay to get it, it was $14 for all 3 of us. It's an awesome fort. The entire thing is built from Coquina, which is basically crushed shells that are cemented together over time. We spent a good bit of time there exploring all the rooms and walking around the top. What views!
After that we just roamed around town and did a little shopping. I did score a bottle of Key Limen wine (from the Food and Wine Festival) at a local store with Florida wines!!!!
We were tired and ready to be at our last stop. Hampton Inn in Titusville. My parents were already there and checked in so we made the hour and a half ride. The hotel was next door to a Cracker Barrel so dinner was an easy decision. After that it was off to bed on one of the worst beds I have slept on in my 40 years..... which made for a long day Sunday....
Sunday... Downtown Disney

"I do not like the cone of shame."
"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell."
"It seems to me that we have a lot of story yet to tell."

More more!
, we all were up and moving around earlier than we needed to be. I was up and dressed when Blondie and Joe got up so he hopped in the shower and she got dressed. Mom and dad were up to so we all went down for breakfast. We decided to go ahead and head out. Boys in one car and girls in the other. The boys were headed to Orlando to play golf while us girls shopped.

You give me hope that I actually might in joy myself!
Now, this may sounds callous or kinda strange, but we all have to die - I can't think of a better way to die than doing something or being somewhere I love. I hope he was having a wonderful, wonderful time and passed with lots of joy in his heart. May his soul rest in peace.
Joe planned on some tanning time and Ab and I were gonna AquaDuck it . Well, it was really cool with the clouds so we passed on the pool. We spent the day shopping (even with the rain, it was one of the least crowded shopping days), eating, packing and attending different things around the ship. Joe and I played trivia while Ab was at the Oceaneers club. We picked up some very expensive pics at Shutters (I should have pre-purchased the package for the better price. $150 for 10 pics... ugguh. Thank goodness mom and dad got us some!
And your idea of an adult only cruise sounds great, but I'll take it one further, wish Disney would consider such a cruise, I think it would be a hit

.
