Limited-Time Lion King Dining Experience

https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/05/limited-time-lion-king-dining-experience-coming-to-jiko-the-cooking-place-at-disneys-animal-kingdom-lodge/

I don't think I'm going to do a blog post about this, but I wanted to make sure to get the word out. A special limited-time Lion King Dining Experience is coming to Jiko " The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This pre-fixe menu inspired by Simba's journey through life as each "dish follows our lion prince as he grows up, highlighting each stage of his life through unique flavors and spices." Seatings for the special dinner will be beginning June 30, 2019.

In addition to an inspired meal, musicians will join appear during dinner offering live performances of vibrant African melodies as well as The Lion King movie soundtrack.

The exciting meal will set you back $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with the option to add your choice of two levels of wine pairings at an additional cost.

I had a fabulous meal the last time I went to Jiko, but my husband wasn't quite as impressed. Sadly, I'm not adventurous enough of an eater to give this one a try.

How about you?

I want to do this!!! For me, the menu sounds amazing! I didn't think 65 bucks was that over the top either. I would probably splurge and get the wine option but I am a certified wine-o so of course LOL

No, $65 at Jiko isn't bad at all, especially when you consider it's a special meal and there will be entertainment. I think Geordon and I spent about $125 last time we at at Jiko. We cruised into the Jiko wine bar after I had done the Princess. I was too beat to leave the hotel.
