Moana

The movie isn't coming for another 7 months and people are already finding something to complain about.

Yeah I saw the controversy over this the other day. People just need to get a life!

Exactly. It's an animated character. Get over it.

Personally - I looked at it as fat acceptance, not shaming. muchlove
I'll be in the theater opening day no matter what they want to claim.

I don't see him as fat or obese . I see him as strong, mighty, larger than life.

I am so excited for this movie. I will be there opening weekend. I don't see what they are talking about he is a hero, big and strong like The Rock who does the voice.

People complain when a character is too skinny and complain when too big. Common factor in both of those? PEOPLE. lol People aren't happy unless they are complaining! laugh

Ugh so obnoxious.

I am super excited for this movie! Especially after the preview we saw at Finding Dory. And Lin-Manuel Miranda music FTW!

Katie and I went to see Moana a couple of days ago and we loved it. I don't know that I believe it's "perfect" as several reviewers have said, but I also can't find anything at all to complain about in it. It's funny, moving, exciting, and Moana presents a fantastic role model for young girls. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

Loved Moana. My only criticism is the music. The lyrics of most of the songs are very exposition oriented. They won't translate as well as say Tangled or Frozen to everyday listening. And that kind of bums me out because I really like the spirit of the music. There's exposition in the music for Tangled and Frozen because there has to be, but they don't beat you over the head with it quite as much--the lyrics are more generic. Although there are a few Frozen lyrics that are downright ridiculous.

My husband and I saw it in 3D, as soon as it was over I asked could we see it again. I will definitely be getting it when it comes out on DVD that's for sure. My husband died laughing from the chicken he thought he was the best part.

I finally got around to seeing Moana today and of course love it. Need to see it again and also need to own it. And I also adored the animated short that preceded it.

Nope. I was wrong. I'm totally addicted to this soundtrack.

I wasn't totally sold on the music at first either, but Penny insists on watching the videos on YouTube on the daily and we're all completely hooked.
