My Restaurant Plan - What do you think?

Hello,
This is my menu plan that I've come up with for my family's WDW trip this May. I've also listed the menu item that I'd like to get there.
You'll notice that I only have one dinner on the list, that's because we rent out a house and (in order to cut costs), we cook dinner there when we get back. Plus, it's fun for all of us to sit around the dinner table.
All of the snacks listed are optional, since I don't plan on getting a snack every day. They're just what I would get if I choose to get a snack on that day.

Magic Kingdom:
* Lunch: Be Our Guest Restaurant - Braised Pork
* Snack: Gaston's Tavern - Cinnamon Roll

Animal Kingdom:
* Possible Character Breakfast: Tusker House (Does anyone know how much this costs per person?)
* Lunch: Flame Tree Barbecue - Pulled Pork Sandwich
* Snack: Tamu Tamu - Fruit Bowl in pineapple half (Is this still available?)

Hollywood Studios:
* Lunch: 50s Prime Time Cafe - Chicken Pot Pie or Pot Roast (Any opinions?) + Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese
* Snack: Starring Rolls Cafe - Napoleon

Epcot:
* Breakfast: Les Halles Bakery - Quiche Florentine
* Lunch: Rose and Crown Pub & Dining Room - Sunday Roast
* Snack Ideas: Sommerfest, Karamell-Kuche, or Italy Gelato Stand
* Dinner Ideas: La Cantina Restaurant or Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar (Is this is a good place for a meal?)

Downtown Disney:
* Breakfast: Kouzzina - Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast
* Lunch: Cookes of Dublin - Beef and Lamb Pie + Irish Vintage Cheese and Bacon dip
* (Optional)Dessert: Raglan Road - Ger's Bread and Butter pudding

Resorts: (This day is for exploring the resorts, since we always stay off-property)
* Breakfast: Kona Cafe - Two Eggs Your Way, share Tonga Toast, w/ side of Macadamia Nut Butter
* Lunch: Big River Grille and Brewing Works - Flame grilled meatloaf
* Snack: Boardwalk Bakery - Peanut Butter cupcake

My goal was to try some popular restaurants that I've been seeing on different blogs. Plus, I was trying to keep the prices low (otherwise, I would have chosen Le Cellier for Epcot wink ).

So, what do you think? Any comments or suggestions?

All I can say is that at 50sPTC, I am a big fan of the fried chicken and double mashed potatoes. Also, I don't think you can get a full meal at the wine bar. Oh, and I don't like R&C Pub at all for food.

I have to agree with the Colonel, at 50s Primetime - I would definitely go with the fried chicken or meatloaf. We are headed to 50s for lunch in less than 2 weeks......mouth is watering already!!!!

I actually personally really enjoyed Rose & Crown--but that's because the food reminded me of the semester I spent in London; it seemed quite authentic to me and our service was great awesome

According to AllEars, adult character breakfast at Tusker House costs $26.99-30.88 per person depending on season/weekday or weekend; kids are $14.99-$17.03.

All the reviews I've seen of Tutto Gusto say the food is great, and that you can order anything there off the Tutto Italia menu as well. My only worry would be that it doesn't take reservations and is first come, first serve, but it's also not wildly popular so you'll likely be able to get a seat!

It sounds like you have quite a variety there and will be trying lots of new things: yum! My own mouth is personally watering!

Is there a Kouzzina at Downtown Disney? I thought it is only at the Boardwalk?

The Colonel and nhshorty: Thanks for the tip about the Chicken and the Meatloaf! I think I'll get the meatloaf instead of the pot roast.

Kat: I've been to a UK gastropub before and I loved it, so I'm excited to try out Disney's rendition. Seeing that Tusker House price, I'm going to take that off my list. Good to hear about Tutto Gusto; I love Italian food and it's piqued my interest. I think we'll decide between La Cantina and Tutto Gusto once we're there, to see what we're in the mood for. wink Thanks for the tips!

ZapperZ: Yes, I meant Kouzzina at the Boardwalk. We're going to check out that area and then head to Downtown Disney.

One quick question:

Does anybody know for sure if the Sunday Roast is indeed on the lunch menu for Rose and Crown? I looked at multiple menus: some had it for lunch, some for dinner, and some didn't have it all. I really want to try the yorkshire pudding that comes with it!

I think I remember reading on the DFB that this got removed from the menu completely....

Oh, that's sad. But I like UK food, so I should be able to find something good.

If you have your heart set on dining at Tutto Gusto, you may want to consider going there for lunch, and R&C for dinner. There aren't all that many tables, so with wine served in an actual wine glass, food, as well as a full bar offering for drinks = crowded at night. We really enjoyed the paninis we had there for lunch back in November(came with a small salad). It is our new favorite spot in the WS, and we're planning to return for lunch in May(trying Les Halles Bakery for breakfast too)...........we enjoy breakfast at Kouzzina every trip. Have fun!

Thanks! I think we'll opt out of Tutto Gusto and head to La Cantina instead for dinner, mainly because Rose and Crown is cheaper for lunch.
I've been hearing so many good reviews about Kouzzina breakfast lately, and I can't wait to try it!

When you go to Gaston's Tavern, I'd just get the Lefou's Brew and call that your snack. It's SO GOOD. Smile

When we were at Disney last Christmas we did the 50's Primetime Diner and between the 4 of us we had Pot Roast, Meatloaf and Fried Chicken. We all love Pot Roast but the consensus was Fried Chicken with Meatloaf a close #2.

At the Rose & Crown we prefer to save 50% and get the Fish and Chips and the snack stand outside.

Taratru: We'll definitely consider LeFou's Brew! I love the souvenir cup and I'm curious to see what it tastes like.

Candj3296: Thanks for the tips! We're really excited about 50's Primetime. I'm probably going to get either the fried chicken or the meatloaf; it seems to be the consensus that those are delicious! Also, I am reconsidering Rose & Crown. I think we're going to take the chance with it, though, for two reasons: 1. I think it has cheaper options for table service lunch and 2. we've never eaten there, so it's worth a shot.

The only one I've actually eaten at of those was La Cantina. It was the only actual reservation we had on our honeymoon...awesome food and great service! Yum! Your menu sounds great though! I've been wanting to eat at Be Our Guest and Gaston's!

So guys, I want your thoughts on my restaurant plan too. I am booking ADRS for my upcoming April trip, and I would love your thoughts and experience on doing two places a day versus just one. For example, a character breakfast like Askerhaus, kinda late AM, then an early dinner ADR. OR...a lunch ADR and a later dinner ADR.

I really want to try some new places, but is it too ambitious and restricting to book two....should I perhaps just snack or counter service for the rest of the day and go with one?

and sorry if I am asking this in two places.... confused

We generally made two ADRs a day for our trip. I didn't find it too constricting at all! We're not big breakfast people so we tended to either do a small quick service option for breakfast (or a granola bar or poptart in the hotel room) and then an ADR for lunch and dinner. DH and I generally shared an app and an entree at each place so that we wouldn't be too full, but I think if you are planning on spreading out the ADRs more then we did (breakfast/dinner or early lunch/late dinner) it shouldn't be a problem.

Disneydoc,
We did two a day for I think three of our seven days? It was great...just enough flexibility to hit some CS places.
