So if you were deciding which of these two places to stay, which would you pick. I think it's a no-brainer, but I'm not sure everyone agrees. What's your pick?

I would choose Saratoga Springs just based on location. The view of DTD is beautiful from there. However, we have never stayed at Old Key West.
Boy that's a tough one to call. SSR is my home resort and it's a great place with a lot to do and enjoy. But that being said we stayed at OKW on our last trip down to the World and found it wonderfully charming and, to me I found it to be a much more relaxed and easy going resort. We went to Olivia's to eat and by the end of the meal, it felt like I had gained a lifelong friend or relative that just happened to be our server, and others on this board have described and said the same thing about him. All things considered I think I would give the edge (although a real small one) to OKW. That being said though we are returning to SSR on our next trip in Nov. How's that for a definite maybe.
I haven't stayed at either, but SSR appeals to me a bit more for location and themeing. Though I've always wanted to try OKW, so I'd take either, lol.
Wishin' I was at WDW!
easiest q for me.. OKW wins hands down.
I've stayed at SSR and it was nice, we had a lovely view yes, but... that place is HUGE.. internal buses took a really long time.
OKW is just.. so pretty.. relaxed.. mellow. It's just got.. that "feel" to it. Everyone is talking about location of SSR, but since I only go to DTD on arrival day of my trip it doesnt matter that it's so close to DTD.
Besides, OKW has the fun little boat ride over to DTD too!
We have visited both and I thought Old Key West had a much "homier" feel. It made me kind of want to stay there. We have actually stayed at SSR and while it was fine, nothing really stood out about it for me.
