Christmas in Disney World
We are flying out of Seattle on Christmas Eve and will arrive in Orlando Christmas Morning!!!! Yes, it is a red-eye, but we were able to use our miles and get an upgrade to 1st class. WooHoo!!
We have a town car reserved for the ride to AKL - and our Arusha Savannah view room!!
Once we get to AKL, the first thing we have planned is breakfast at Boma right after we check in. It will be quite early, so after our cross-country flight, a great and special breakfast to start our holiday will be awesome. A Very Merry Christmas to us!!!
We plan on relaxing at the resort that morning; hopefully we will have a room to get into fairly quickly! If not, we'll figure out something to do!! We aren't worried 'cause we'll be in DISNEY WORLD at CHRISTMAS!!! We have a Christmas dinner ADR at Wolfgang Puck Dining Room, so will probably head out to DTD early, maybe do some shopping. Mostly soaking up the holiday decor and the Christmas Season!
Our plan for the 26th is really low-key. Will let our energy level dictate our day. We have an ADR at Jiko for dinner, so if we want to be resort slugs all day, we can!! This is a late EMH at HS, and we might venture out to enjoy The Hat at night! Maybe!
The 27th will be a park hopping day, ending up at Epcot for Candlelight Processional - dinner package at Tutto Italia. Amy Grant is the Narrator this night and Kim is excited to see her. She has been an Amy Grant fan since forever. This is a great show and we are happy to see it again! This is also a late night at Epcot. If we have the energy, we can hang around the world showcase until 1:30am!!
For December 28, we will tool around parks or resorts or both, heading to Narcoossee's for a dinner ADR. This is is an MK late night (2:00am), so we will be trying to close it down!! If not this night, then maybe the next night!!
On the 29th. . . Same flexible plan. Will keep close watch on crowd levels and let that guide our day. We have an ADR at California Grill for dinner, so spending a late night at MK this night is an option. Maybe . . . Or maybe HS; it is a late EMH night there, too.
The 30th - This is our special dinner night - the Queen's room at Victoria & Albert's. I have feeling that we will be sleeping in today and waking up to lounge on the balcony with the animals. Of course we will probably do this EVERY morning to some degree!!
Our last day is New Year's Eve. I am hoping to get us up and out ONE morning to see the rope drop at MK - in JeffC's honor! This will be the last chance. . . But I'm sure we'll get there! We'll go with the flow again, resorts, parks, DTD . . . And end the day at Artist Point for dinner. We have our choice of late parks this night, and will ring in the new year wherever there is room for us!
Our flight leaves early on New Year's Day, and we'll be winging our way home, missing the Magic, and the bowl games . . .
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
