It is hard for me, too...but sometimes she is a little stinker!
17 cats against 5 dogs! That's how many we have combined! A total of 22 animals not including the King's Loch Ness Monster.
Once upon a time we had 19 cats and 2 dogs all of our own (no Nessies, though). Now we're down to 9 cats and 0 dogs. I tell people we have 9 cats and they think it's a lot, but to me the house seems half empty.

We also have worked with animal rescue groups, which is how we got up to 19 cats a while back. We don't do animal rescue work anymore because we figure we have our own cat shelter right here.
But I really do want all the cats in the world to be mine. (Only half joking.)

Not ours either LOL....for the black Schwartz, you would need to be prepared with lots of air freshener. He tends to emit smells not unlike.....sewer gas.. No joke!

How's Willow doing?
Yes, how is Willow adjusting? Well I hope.
Such beautiful, furry children you all have!!!
We have four kitties at present, up one from last year. We had gotten down to three which was a good number, then last spring, we lost Cooper, a sweet gray boy. Then our 17 year old calico Callie lost her battle with kidney disease. That left one kitty, Casey, who was heart broken. We looked around for a kitty friend and found two brothers - 12 week old brothers Finn & Bailey - to come be our second generation babies. They fit in so well! Casey was grumpy at first but he warmed up fast and loves them. THEN . . . a kitty we'd had for five years but had given to a friend so to keep her Mother company came back home to us!! Jasper's new mommy got sick and couldn't care for him so he came back!! Was a tough transition for him, but he remembered us and his old house, and has grown to love the babies, too!
Now the family is complete and our sad hearts are happy. . . And well entertained!!
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
J. R. R. Tolkien
Love all the pics, especially all the kitties. I will try to remember to post some pictures of ours tomorrow.
I think I've shared this before, but this is our Great Dane, Isabelle. We had her for 7.5 years. She died last year of bone cancer. Talk about ripping your heart out....we have yet to get another dog. We are talking about getting another dane this summer. She was a big girl, weighing 145lbs. I am 5'11 to give you an idea of how tall she was!
All the fur friends are beautiful.
(And I'm still coming to get all of those cats )
I want ALL YOUR CATS! EVERYBODY'S! Will be by shortly to pick them up.
I'm glad you don't know where I live yet!!
Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome. --Randy Pausch

Thanks for asking JoAnn and Vettelover! She's hanging in there. She has adjusted to her loss of sight very well. In fact most people have no idea she can't see. Right now we're dealing with her age....arthritis in the hips and kidney issues. It's killing me that I can't freeze time and keep her from getting older.
This is our little buddy, Mister Hub, the original Mister Hub! He was about 8 months old when he found scrappy driving up the road by herself one day, he was running down the middle of the street and scrappy thought he was a "hubcap" that fell off of a car, so he got the name Hubcap, then we started calling him Mister and the vet wrote MrHub on his paper work, and that's were we got MrHub, but we just call him Mister. That was 9 years ago. He is quite a character.
These are my babies: Mickey he's 17 and manx/persian. He has thyroid problems but apart from that he's going well.
Lolly who's 12 and a russian blue and was originally my brother's cat but ended up back at home with us years ago so she's basically mine now.
And my girls Matilda and Lucy the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Matilda is the Blenheim colour and she's 6 and Lucy is 4 and Ruby coloured.
This is Koda!

Yes, I could actually come and get yours pretty darn quick.
We've had a couple of dogs over the years, but we're mainly cat people, which is why I want everybody's cats.
But I'm going to make an exception.
Mrhub, I am coming to get your dog. He's adorable and needs to be mine.
Here are our kitties - Callie and Casey. They are brother and sister and were found by my nephew on his grandparents' farm when they were about 2 weeks old. Their mother was no where to be found, so he raised them until about 8 weeks and then they came to live with us. That was almost 6 years ago and we love them to bits.
