What a pack of cuties!!

Our babies are all Disney kitties--two by accident, but our kittens were intentional. Isabelle (white) and Merlin (black) were named by the lady who had rescued them off the side of the road when their mother was hit by a car, but Isabelle has become Princess Belle and Merlin fits with Sword and the Stone, so that worked out splendidly.

Our Belle is not quite as kind and loving as the real Belle. She's a bit standoffish and the kittens seem to delight in terrorizing the big sister who wants nothing more that to nap on every blanket and piece of furniture in the house.

Merlin is my baby. He loves to be held and snuggled and I can summon him like a dog by snapping my fingers. He's affectionate to the point of being annoying and I have no idea what I'd ever do without him!

The first kitten (grey calico) that we rescued was Cordelia (the daughter from The Happiest Millionaire) and the second is Alice (black calico). We had to have Cordy put to sleep after a little over a year because of feline leukemia, but we loved that cat so much that she's still part of our family.

Alice got her name by jumping down the "rabbit hole" (aka into the trashcan) to retrieve some shrimp shells the first night that we had her. She's both an adventurer and a scared little mouse, so that's where my screen name comes from.

My 3 kitties~Lynus is the big red and white tabby hugging his toy frog, Stella is the Ivory & grey Himalayan, and Fiona is the silver & white Persian mix.

The kitty is "Sassy" and the Morkie is "Arlen". They have a love-hate relationship. One moment, they are playing and loving, the next, Sassy will WWF him to the ground and sit on him until he cries uncle (she's twice his size).

Thanks. She's a beauty but a pain in the hiney to keep untangled. We got her from the local shelter when she was a kitten. Vet just calls her a domestic longhair.

Arlen is a cutie patootie but spoiled rotten.

This is Jessie...aka "she who ate my Magic Band"! She is a shelter dog and she adopted me when she was about 4 months old...part Lab, part Border Collie, and part unknown! The last picture is one that was taken when she was a "guest" at the Best Friends Pet Resort in March of 2013 when I was a guest at All-Star Music.

Cheers..Due to Scottish law and illegal transportation of extinct animals, it's taboo..Anyway, the poor wee beastie would never settle down outside Scottish waters..

Meet Mr Bud a rescue dog from the shelter got him when he was 12 weeks old... He is going to be 12 this year he is such a good boy..They say Chows are a mean dog but buddy is the sweetest dog in the world !!

Shelley (after the poet not the monster) is my cat as she picked me out at the shelter when we were looking for my son's new friend.

Schwartz (black) is 15 and well....really stupid. But he's ours and has defied the laws of survival of the fittest.

AWWWWWWW! This is my favourite thread ever!

I am a huge animal lover so loving everyone's stories

I could spend alllll day putting pics up of our baby (as those who are friends with me on Facebook with concur)

This is my baby Wilbur, he's now about 12 years old, he's a silver tabby point siamese. We adopted him from our local vets about a year ago, someone took him there and told them they were leaving him there who could do that?? He's a total mummies boy but he does love everyone. He has a hyper thyroid, irritable bowel, kidney problems and suffers badly from fur balls. But I wouldn't part with him for all the money in the world.

They are all rescues. I've always wanted a Persian and a Himalayan, but I would never buy a cat, only rescues for us. So I didn't think I'd ever get to have either kind of kitten, but I just happened to luck out and find rescue groups that had them at the times that we were looking for kittens.

I've worked with many animal rescue groups through the years, and they would all LOVE you

I'm with you re rescues, that's all I will have too, there are so many kitties looking for their forever home and I'm happy to give them that x

Not our current pet (we have 2 canaries called Jack and Sally,picture to follow ) but here is our previous pooch to help redress the cat/dog balance. Unfortunately he passed quite a few years ago ..
