Rafiki's Planet Watch closing.

I may be a little late to the party, but what the heck!? This was one of my favorite spots in AK.

I'm hoping that they are doing this because another land is in development for the Park, or that they need room to expand the animal care center that is here. If this is happening because they want to improve the lives of the animals I'm all for it. However, Diney hasn't really said why this is happening so all we can do is wait and see.

Sorry, but not only am I not surprised, I'm not really upset. I think we've been over there twice in all of our trips to Animal Kingdom. I actually like the train, but that's my favorite part of the whole thing. It's so low on our radar, in fact, that we'll be there before it closes and I'm still not making an effort to squeeze it into our schedule. waiting

I'm with you. I love taking the train over and visiting Rafiki's. I always made a stop to pet some animals.

Hrmmm... we shall see! I have to wonder if this has anything to do with other entertainment cuts that were made. If there are no characters to visit there, maybe they thought that no one would go?

The update today is that this attraction will be reopening in the Spring of 2019.
