I recently read that there were "value" villas at AKL and standard villas. Anyone know the difference?

I've heard that the value, one-bedroom villas are transformed Jambo standard rooms, and they they sleep only 4 people, whereas the regular one-bedrooms have a sleeping chair and sleep five people.

I'd heard that the Jambo House rooms were different because they were just re-engineered standard rooms in the original hotel. Would love to see pics.

Here is a link to a trip report I did when I stayed in Kidani in a 1 bedroom standard view unit.

The value units are a wee bit smaller but not by much and actually some of the value units have better views than the standard units do. I understand that some have a partial view of the savannah although I don't have any personal experience with the values yet. It seems that the value units are the first to book and that you will probably need to be an owner to get those units most times. I had no problems getting a standard view even though it is a few more points than a value view but not much.

Thank you so much! I bet they go really fast -- especially with partial savanna views for a relatively low cost.

I assume savanna views go before standard views?
