Watching a game at ESPN Club

Has anyone tried to get into the ESPN club to watch a big (or little) game? I always see it packed and therefore haven't tried, but if anyone has any tricks, I'm all ears.

We were staying at the Boardwalk and wanted to watch a game, but we walked by earlier in the day and there was already a crowd, so we didn't try. It was the NFL playoffs though, so it was a pretty big deal.

I've definitely seen crowds. DH caught an NFL game there once. He just arrived about an hour beforehand and all was good.

I remember going over there to watch an NFL game one time while were living down there. It wasn't the playoffs or anything and we were able to get a table. But I'd say it would require a little advance planning to be sure to get a good spot.

I'm in agreement. Just get there an hour or so early. And settle in for the game.

(I suggest you get any sort of chicken-wing like product as you really can't find them anywhere else in Disney world!!)

My DH has watched several NFL and College football games there. It seems for a while there we were arriving at WDW right at the beginning of each football season. We did try to watch a game last Oct but was unable to get in due to the crowd. When we were there Super Bowl weekend in 2008 we were told that would would need to arrive around 10am that morning if we wanted to get in to see the game that night!

I believe that wholeheartedly. Bring a tent!

Given the horrible channel selection it can be a real drag when you want to watch a particular sporting event. ESPN Club can be your only hope.
