We're going to WDW in April!

WE GOT MICKEY MAIL!

Magical Express stuff arrived in yesterday's mail. Won't be long now.

Gonna post a detailed itinerary in a few minutes, but for now, to confirm meet-ups:

We've got disneydoc, LuvAllDisney, Mandy, and I (anyone else?) meeting at Aloha Isle for Dole Whips at 4:30 on Friday, April 4. (Hubby and I have Splash Mountain FastPass+ reservations from 4:20 to 5:20, so we'll either arrive a little late to the meet-up or have to move along by 5:00.)

And we have AliceMouse and I meeting along with our respective hubbies and possibly Alice's parents either at DHS during the day or at MK EEMH Sunday, April 6, exact time and place TBD. Alice, I was able to move our 'Ohana reservation ahead to 8:30 p.m., which will give us more time at MK that evening.

And now, the latest itinerary for our April trip.

Thursday, April 3: Arrival day! Land at MCO around 5:00, then head for Pop Century via Magical Express. After check-in, either Downtown Disney for dinner at Earl of Sandwich or, if we have enough time, MK for a few hours.

Friday, April 4: Magic Kingdom morning and afternoon. Sleepy Hollow lunch for those awesome chicken waffle sandwiches. FastPass+ for Under the Sea, Enchanted Tales, and Splash Mountain. Must catch the new parade at 3:00. Dole Whip meet-up at 4:30. Then park-hop to Epcot for EEMH. Graze the Flower and Garden Festival outdoor kitchens for dinner, and Illuminations at 9:00.

Saturday, April 5: Possibly MEMH at DHS, if I get up early enough, just to get in one ride on Toy Story Mania. Then AK morning and afternoon. Yak and Yeti ADR for lunch. FastPass+ for Finding Nemo the Musical, Expedition Everest (just hubby), and Kilimanaro Safari. Must catch the Jungle Parade before it disappears in June. Then park-hop to MK, with dinner at Casey's. We'll fit in the evening parade, fireworks, etc., but no stress if we can't do it all since we'll be back at MK the next evening and can see whatever we missed then.

Sunday, April 6: DHS morning and afternoon. ABC Commissary lunch. FastPass+ for Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Toy Story Mania, and Lights! Motors! Action! Then on to 'Ohana for dinner, followed by EEMH at MK, and whatever shows etc. we missed the night before. There will also be a meet-up with AliceMouse at some point this day.

Monday, April 7: Epcot morning and afternoon. In lieu of a regular lunch and dinner, we'll probably graze the F&G Festival Outdoor Kitchens all day till we park hop to DHS for EEMH. FastPass+ reservations are at DHS for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (hubby only), Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania (I cannot get enough of that ride!). Then we'll do Fantasmic, probably the second show at 10:00 since we don't have FastPass+ for that (Toy Story was more important to me).

Tuesday, April 8: Departure day, bummer! Check out, leave carry-on bags at resort if possible, then on to Epcot. FastPass+ reservations are Test Track, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and Turtle Talk with Crush (I love Crush). Lunch will be more grazing at the F&G Fest Outdoor Kitchens, or if we've had our fill, at a World Showcase counter-service restaurant or maybe Spice Road if we can get in. Then back to Pop Century to catch the Magical Express.

I'm not sure we will be able to see them, since we won't arrive till late afternoon/early evening April 3. Can your coworker find out when and where they will be?

I just perused the Flower and Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchen selections and came up with quite a list of things I'd like to try. For the food:

• Ghost pepper-dusted tilapia with crisp winter melon slaw and mint oil featuring The Original Sauce Man's Kick It Up Rub
• Sweet Potato Cinnamon Waffle with Dole Whip
• Pork and Apple Sausage Roll with House-Made Piccalilli
• Freshly Baked Lemon Scones with Berry Preserves and Creme FraIche
• Confit de Canard, Pommes de Terre Sarladaise " Pulled Duck Confit with Garlic and Parsley Potatoes
• Lamb brewat roll with prunes and sesame
• Harissa chicken kebab with couscous salad
• Baghrir " Moroccan pancake with honey, almonds and argan oil
• Temaki hand roll " Sliced Panko fried chicken, curry sauce, rice and pickled julienne carrots wrapped with Nori
• Hanami sushi " A flavorful combination of salmon, scallop and beef-topped rice balls served atop a shiso violet sauce
• Pulled pig slider with cole slaw
• Spring pancake with grilled chicken and green apple

Even with less than half the number of booths at the Food and Wine Festival, there's still quite a bit that looks awesome.

Since we're just a few days away, I want to confirm meet-ups again:

A specific spot would be helpful so we'll all be able to find one another.

AliceMouse and I will meet sometime Sunday, April 6 at either DHS or MK, exact time and place flexible.

It would work better for us. We could do the FP+ before the meet-up and have plenty of time to hang out afterward.

I assume it would also be better for Mandy, with her work schedule, and DisneyDoc's time issue was fitting it in after her Dine with an Imagineer lunch, so I imagine it would work for her as well.

So...does 5:00 at Aloha Isle work for everyone?
