What I Discovered by Visiting Every Disney Park

Good article on Disney for a change.

I used to analyze what I liked about Disney vacations as opposed to "authentic" experiences. It seemed a little odd that a grown man was so taken by it. I don't care anymore. I'm just happy in Disney.

Ken and I have caught the Disney bug for sure, but don't think we'll take it as far as visiting the parks outside of the US. It's our happy place! biggrin

I was a Disney fan even before I visited my first Disney park, and after I visited WDW in 1977, it all went downhill from there, I was hooked stars !

Back then there was only one park at WDW, the Magic Kingdom, the happiest place on earth. My kids grew up there, and now we all gather there at least once a year to just enjoy the Disney atmosphere. We spend more time just walking around and trying out all the different eateries, than actually getting on any ride.

No sense in trying to figure out why we enjoy something so much, logically it does not make sense mickey .

That was a great read. It is so easy to think that every Disney park is the same. They are the same in some ways, but they're also different in others. That's probably something the general public in the USA does not grasp about the international Disney parks. I do agree about people buy into the concept of "obsessive niche travel" which I suppose is a more formal way of saying the term "bucket list" in terms of travel. Even in Disney World itself, I'm sure there are people who believe in the concept of obsessive niche travel who want to stay at every Disney resort, eat at every single Disney restaurant, ride every single Disney ride, etc.

Love this article, I'd love to see the other parks, for the differences and the experience more than anything. I've been to DLP and WDW and the two are SO different to me, it's almost like they're not in the same 'Disney' bubble at all! I love what he says about the different kinds of guests too, very true in my experience!
