Just got this Cinderella pin in the mail from the VIP pin store with the Disney Movie Club. It's up on my pin board and I can't figure how to get pics to upload here from my phone....

More pins obtained from the last WCPT pin trading.
A collection of WDI/Disney Auction pins.
We had a good haul this time because we had new members. So they brought stuff that we hadn't seen before, and we have stuff that they wanted. I traded a set of character/monorail pin set that I've had in my books for years, and one of our new member almost had a heart attack when he saw the entire set in my trading book. I guess he had been looking for it for quite some time.
It is the reason why we always need "new blood" in our group.

Chip 'n Dale Dole Whip pin update.
If you recall, I mentioned a while ago that it is getting more difficult to find the Chip 'n Dale Dole Whip pins anymore. So getting another pin to add to my vest has been very slow the past few years.
Well now I know why. I friend alerted me over the weekend that I may want to consider selling that Dole Whip pins because I'm sitting on a small fortune. We went on ebay, and my jaw dropped. People were asking for $30-$35 for one of these pins! Holy cow! Many years ago, you can't give this pin away!
On my vest, I currently have 108 of the Dole Whip pins.
I don't intend to sell them. After all, if you've followed the story that led to this crazy obsession, the Pin Gods had designated that I be the keeper of this pin. I also know that there are many scrappers here. I didn't care because I wasn't going to use them for trading. If I ever seriously consider selling them, I definitely will have to carefully look and see which ones at the scrappers.
Still, 108 x $30 = $3,240. That can buy a lot of pins!

Newest favorite pin!
The pin was accompanied by this!! Thank you Mr Ferret for letting me know where I might find it.
It's Memorial Day weekend here in the US, a time to honor the men and women who served in our military.
So this is my favorite pin for this weekend, and I'm wearing it all day today and tomorrow.

Great choice Zz.
I got this jumbo pin from way back in 2005 (gosh, has it been 10 years ago?). It was released as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth to commemorate Disneyland's 50th Anniversary.
It is a huge pin (I put a quarter in the photo for comparison). It came in a display case, and includes a pedestal. After spending almost its entire life in that display case, I decided it is time for it to come out and be displayed in its pedestal.

Here's a nice pin set. This is a series of Passholder pins released a few years ago. And of course, they were not released all on the same day. In fact, I think they released each one very 3 months. So those of us who were collecting them, and were not in Orlando all year, had to get someone to buy each one of them for us, or got them via trading.
I collect Passholder pins and also park icons. So this set is a must-collect double-coupon.

I like those types of pins, but it is frustrating to wait for each one of them to be released, and scrambling to find people to get them for you.

I love The Scream painting and I LOVE this pin!
Here's another favorite. This is a 6-pin set, and comes with the backing to mount the pins. It is a scoop on a day in the life of Mickey!

This is one of my most favorite pin, simply because I haven't seen it anywhere else, and I don't know the origin or story surrounding it. Pin trading isn't big at all at HK Disneyland, so I don't quite know why they would go to this extent to produce such a pin, but I'm glad they did anyway. This was obtained via pin trading.

There were a number of these pins made with a variety of characters. I was able to trade for the Poohbear HK/castle pin. They are hard to find without paying an arm and a leg.
