Thanks! It was Peter's first time in California, and I had told him all about the coast highway. I was so afraid he would be disappointed after me going on and on about how beautiful it was, but he loved it. We both completely drained our camera batteries that day. laugh

Wouldn't it be exciting if it did?

Alas, it isn't as exciting as that. The probe on the left measures the "surface potential" when it comes very close to whatever you attach to the front of the copper block on the right.
