I'm from Virginia, but my grandma lives in Brooklyn. We visit 3-4 times a year, plus she sometimes goes with us to WDW in May.

I noticed a single cloud from on top of a mountain in NM. I love how you can see the shadow it casts on the ground.
(Using Picasa for the first time, let's see if it works)

Stunning Zz!! I adore orchids. However I have a black thumb and can't even seem to keep a cactus alive.

The phalaenopsis are rather easy to take care of. You kill it by loving it too much.
I have several orchids growing indoors. Freckles is the oldest. I have had her for almost 10 years now. She flowers once a year every year, and the flowers stay around for close to 2 months. Purple is also about to flower right now, and I've had her for about 8 years. I have two smaller ones, and one I rescued from the trash can that also is about to flower.
