When most people think about great Walt Disney World Bars and Lounges its easy to get caught up in the obvious in Park options like La Cava del Tequila, or the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. Maybe you think of the exciting and adventurous new comers such as Trader Sam's Grog Grotto, or Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar; but these spots on the well trod route are just a few of the gems that Walt Disney World offers for guests to relax at. Some of my favorite Disney bars are just off the beaten path at the Resort Hotels.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
One of the newest spots on property, this waterside retreat is fast becoming a favorite with both travelers and locals alike. Located on the shores of Bay Lake, the Bar and Grill lets guests enjoy the great outdoors from beneath a luxury pavilion. A fantastic beer, wine, and cocktail menu, great rustic fare, and a view of the Electrical Water Pageant are just a few of the things that will make Geyser Point one of your Disney favorites.
Crews Cup Lounge at Disney's Yacht Club
When you've got a sudden taste for prime rib of beef, but you're lacking reservations at the steakhouse, walk on in to the Crew's Cup Lounge and settle in for an outstanding meal. The Crew's Cup shares a kitchen with the Disney Signature Yachtsman Steakhouse right next door, making this some of the best bar food on property. While the lounge can get a little crowded during busy dinner hours with guests waiting to be seated next door, during lunch hours and the late night nosh service (10:00pm " 12:00am) it's a completely worth while reason for a hotel hop.
River Roost Lounge at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
Located at Port Orleans Riverside, this lounge is best known for its entertainment. YeHaa Bob Jackson combines his boogie woogie music hilarious personality with a good ole sing-a-long making this lounge on of the best spots on the Sassagoula. An appetizer menu with some real Bayou flair is served from 5:00pm-11:30. Grab a basket of Mardis Gras Fritters, order up a Southern Hurricane and sit back to enjoy the show.
Top of the World Lounge at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Access is limited exclusively to DVC Members and their guests, but none the less this lounge tops my list of Disney bars off the beaten path. The mid-century chic decor, classic cocktails, and panoramic view makes Top of the World a truly leisurely experience. Arrive shortly before the Magic Kingdom Fireworks show and you'll be treated to simulcast music and an extraordinary view.

Belle Vue Lounge at the Boardwalk. Easily to get to from EPCOT International Gateway, and a great escape from the crowds when a relaxing break is needed.

I like the Belle Vue! I haven't been there in the evening, but it's one of my favorite spots for a quite breakfast pastry.

I know it's not really "off the beaten path", but it is kind of tucked away and easy to miss, the Ale & Compass is one of my favorite spots for a libation.
