Earlier this summer, we brought you a snippet about the Four Seasons hotel opening being delayed until 2014. Now, news out of Orlando is that the upscale hotel company has the funds in place and expects to begin construction this December.
The amount of financing Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts now has to start the long-planned project is said to be $360 million.
Known for their luxury take on hotels, the 444-room Four Seasons near Disney will feature a rooftop restaurant that will allow guests to dine overlooking the Magic Kingdom and a lazy river. Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course, which is situated on the land of the future Four Seasons, will also be integrated into the resort. In addition, the resort will boat over 37,000 square feet of meeting space.
Four Seasons purchased land for a Disney-area resort in 2008. Initially, reports spoke of the Orlando resort opening this year, but the recession and credit issues have kept the hotel plans stalled until now.
Look for the Four Seasons to open sometime in 2014.
