Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks now have the ability to add additional FastPass+ entitlements once they have used their first three.
Park hopping with the FastPass+ system is also available.
These changes were made in response to guest suggestions made during the test phase of the FastPass+ system.
The "original" FastPass+ system allowed guests to have just three FastPass+ entitlements per day, and only at one park.
Under the updated system, once a guest has used their first three FastPass+ selections at one theme park they can visit a kiosk at the park and add one additional FastPass. Once that FastPass has been used they can select another, and so on.
The update also allows park hopping guests to add that fourth FastPass+ at a different park.
Currently guests who are using the My Disney Experience app while visiting the parks will not be able to use the app to add additional FastPasses. Any additional passes must be obtained by visiting the FastPass+ kiosks located in the theme parks.
The additional FastPasses can also be used on an attraction that a guest has already visited via a FastPass earlier in the day. So if your perfect day is riding Splash Mountain for a second, third, and fourth time in one day you can now use FastPass+ to do it.

I was in Epcot the day they rolled this out - Monday, April 28th. It worked with no problems. We also did it Tuesday at MK. There were kiosks in several locations in both parks with lost of cast members standing by to help. This was my second visit with the bands and I just love them! Didn't try park hoping with it yet though. Maybe when I go back in October.

Went in October 2013 and this was a complaint we had about the magic bands. Only 3 passes per day and no park hopping. Glad to see some of the kinks were worked out.

Does anyone have any information about using a fastpass for fireworks at MK or illuminations? Does this mean you will be unable to get additional fastpasses for rides throughout the day?

We need to book these additional Fast Passes from our phones or computers. Not wait in a 45 minute line at a kiosk like I saw when we were the in April!

So glad this was changed. Visited the parks in April, got 3 FPs in Animal Kingdom before we went, didn't even need to use them because the park wasn't crowded. Then we went to Epcot & tried to get FPs there & we were told we already had our 3 for the day. I was disappointed because I thought it was 3 per park & had I known I would have save it for Epcot to ride Soarin. Going back in July & I will make sure I know the rules ahead of time.

What is meant by once a guest has used their first three FastPass+ selections? Filling out which rides we want to use them on or actually coming back at that time?

Erica & AP - After you have actually completed all three of those FastPass+ experiences. The downpoint to this program is that if one of your FastPass+ selections is for late at night (such as preferred show seating) then you can sometimes only have 3 selections because there isn't always time for another after the show.

Glad to see this improvement. Wish it had been in place when our family visited in April! After we used our 3 FP's our day was over, unless you were willing to stand in the standby line for 1 to 2 hours!! The only time in 11 years of annual visits where we left very disapointed with our Disney Experience and felt we did not get value received.

We are coming from Canada in December and staying at a condo. Can we use the bracelets as well? We usually purchase our tickets online in fall.

Great news
the only thing to keep in mind, if you book a " preferred firework place " or a " character meet " later in the day, you will not get the rolling 4th FP
i wish disney would think about that

Keery - If you buy your tickets online from Disney yes I believe so. If you buy them from another source you would have to purchase the bands when you get to the park and have the admission data transferred to the band.
