At last weekend's D23 Expo the upcoming film slates for Disney, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm were presented. Some of the films highlighted in the presentation included Star Wars: The Last Jedi, A Wrinkle in Time, Avengers: Infinity War, and more!
Coming this December is Star Wars: The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson. The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

A Wrinkle in Time is scheduled for release on March 9, 2018 and stars Oprah Winfrey (who was also named a Disney Legend at D23), Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Chris Pine. The film was directed by Ava DuVernay and is based on Madeleine L'Engle's classic novel.
Avengers: Infinity War is slated for release on May 4 and fans at D23 were treated to some early footage of the film. Avengers: Infinity War spans the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading to the "deadliest showdown of all time" as the Avengers try to defeat Thanos.
Disney's all-new take on the classic story of The Nutcracker, titled The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, arrives in theaters on November 2, 2018. The film stars Keira Knightly as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Mackenzie Foy as Clara, Helen Mirren as Mother Ginger, Morgan Freeman as Dorsselmeyer, and includes a special performance by Misty Copeland.
Mary Poppins Returns, the sequel to 1964's Mary Poppins, arrives in theaters on Christmas Day 2018. The film stars Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins and Lin-Manuel Miranda as Jack.
A live-action Dumbo directed by Tim Burton is scheduled for release on March 29, 2019. The film stars Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton and Eva Green, along with Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins.
And, a live-action version of The Lion King directed by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book) is coming to theaters on July 19, 2019.
Other new films that are underway include: a live-action Mulan directed by Niki Caro, a live-action Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson, and a live-action Aladdin directed by Guy Ritchie.
