Artist Lineup Announced for Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Walt Disney Animation Studios Announces ‘Moana’

The next animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios has been announced and it is set in the ancient South Pacific.

Moana is described as a "sweeping CG-animated comedy-adventure about a spirited teenager on an impossible mission to fulfill her ancestors' quest."

The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2016 and is being directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. This directing duo also worked on The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog, and Aladdin.

Marquee for Disney’s 'Aladdin' Arrives on Broadway

Next month marks the beginning of previews for the Broadway musical version of Disney's Aladdin.

The show's marquee on the New Amsterdam Theater was recently updated and it features the Genie in a bottle. Check out the video below from Disney On Broadway showing the transformation.

The musical is based on Disney's Academy Award-winning animated film. The stage version is being directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and features music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Tim Rice, Chad Beguelin, and the late Howard Ashman.
