Like many Northerners I've just plain had it with winter and I am more than excited to get on with the Spring! To celebrate the change of seasons (and hopefully the last of seeing all that snow) I thought that I would share some of the delicious treats available at Walt Disney World right now. There's always something new to taste and try - why not start with these?!
The Cheshire Cafe in the Magic Kingdom has two new adorable and delicious cake cups! The Queen of Hearts version is a sweet Strawberry Shortcake Cake Cup, while the White Chocolate Rabbit Cake Cup is a yellow cake "sprinkled" throughout with small bits of chocolate cake. So cute, so springy, you'd better hop to it before these are gone.
Also at the Magic Kingdom this citrus snack has always been a favorite of mine. Located at the Sunshine Tree Terrace (home of the Orange Bird) the Citrus Swirl is sweet and creamy soft serve swirled with a tangy soft orange sorbet. "Dreamsicle" fans may even think it's better than the Dole Whip.
Next let's head on over to Downtown Disney, because treats for your Easter basket have shown up at Ghirardelli! Plastic eggs full of candy pieces, chocolate squares embossed with bunnies, and fluffy little white bunny bags full of sweet chocolatey goodness.
Over at Epcot there a sinful new morning snack at the Refreshment Port. We're talking about none other the deep fried sensation, the Croissant Donuts. Light and flakey croissant pastry cut into the shape of a donut is deep fried and then sprinkled with sugar, you've just got to give it a try.
With the Flower and Garden Festival in full swing guests have the limited time opportunity to taste some truly fresh and fantastic foods at the outdoor kitchens scattered about World Showcase promenade.
The orange blossom macarons at everything a fan of these light and delicate cookie dreams of. You can find these little bites of crisp cookie bliss filled with their sweet creamy center at Fleur de Lys Outdoor Kitchen, situated in France.
Our last treat was so popular at last year's Flower and Garden Festival fans clamoured for more. At the Pineapple Promenade outdoor kitchen guests can not only get their Dole Whip fix while walking World Showcase, but they can get it spiked with a shot of spiced rum - coconut rum. Now that's a grown-up treat!
Many many thanks to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for doing all the legwork on this one and exclusively sharing their fantastic pictures with us. I can't wait to get to try the wonderful flavors of Spring at Walt Disney World. Which of these treats sounds best to you? Leave a comment and let me know!

The traditional citrus swirl sounds a lot like a lemon top which you can get on the north east coast of England! The ice creams topped with lemon sorbet (or sometimes other flavours) is popular from Redcar to Whitby and is about the only place it's available which I always found odd!! So any one in England fancy trying one you know where to look lol
