Disney’s Hollywood Studios Celebrating ‘Frozen’ Summer Fun

Frozen is headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios this summer.

Beginning July 5, the Studios are celebrating all things Frozen with the Frozen Summer Fun Live event. Activities include a daily character procession, sing-alongs, fireworks, and a nightly party with a live band.

Each day at 11 a.m., Anna and Elsa will arrive at the Studios in a horse-drawn sleigh as part of a royal procession down Hollywood Boulevard. They'll be joined by Kristoff, ice skaters, skiers, and ice cutters.

At the Premier Theater guests can join Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and the Royal Historians of Arendelle for a retelling of the kingdom's history that includes special effects and singing. Guests are invited to sing along to songs from the film's soundtrack. At the end of each performance the guests become honorary citizens of Arendelle.

Inside Soundstage One, Oaken and his cousins have built the Frozen Funland that features the Trading Post and other frozen activities including an ice skating rink. Guests will be able to ice skate at a cost of $10 for 30 minutes and that includes the use of skates, helmets, and socks. Guests can also bring their own skating equipment.

The Frozen Funland also includes ice carvings, wintertime activities in the "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" area, and guests can take their photos with animated characters from the film in a virtual setting.

At 5:30 each night a live band will take the stage to celebrate Frozen during the Coolest Summer Ever Dance Party. And at 9:45 each night the Sorcerer Mickey Hat will get a Frozen treatment with special projections of snow and ice images. Fireworks set to the movie's soundtrack include Queen Elsa using her powers to produce icy blue and white fireworks.

Throughout each day of the Frozen Summer Fun Live event "Take-Along Olafs" will be distributed at various locations in the park. Guests are invited to take Olaf with them on their visit at the Studios and share photos using the hashtag #OlafSummerVacation. The photos might appear on the big screen in the fireworks pre-show.

The Frozen Summer Fun Live event runs through September 1.
