Disney Parks VoluntEARS Help with Back-to-School Drives

It's back-to-school time and recently Disney Parks VoluntEARS and cast members partnered with local organizations to support back-to-school fundraisers and to collect and distribute school supplies around the country.

In August the Walt Disney World Ambassadors helped kick off the Back-to-School Supply Drive and presented local 'teachers of the year' with classroom supplies. More than $866,000 worth of backpacks, notebooks, and other supplies were collected by Walt Disney World Resort cast members.

The supplies collected will be distributed to more than 100,000 students in Central Florida by A Gift For Teaching (AGFT). Cast members also participated in a phone bank at a local Orlando television station to benefit AGFT

On the West Coast, Disneyland Resort cast members participated in the Stuff the Bus charity drive to collect school supplies for students in need in Anaheim. Disneyland also donated $1,000 in supplies toward the charity drive.
