New Entertainment Fastpass To Be Tested At Magic Kingdom

Word out of Walt Disney World has it that the Magic Kingdom will be the spot for a new Fastpass trial this month. During March, Disney will be testing their famous Fastpass system with their nighttime entertainment.

Cast members will distribute the Fastpasses by hand to guests on random days in March between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Guests lucky enough to be a part of the experiment will be able to return to the Castle hub at the time printed on the Fastpass. From there, the cast members will be on hand to help direct guests in order to watch that night's fireworks show or nighttime parade.

There's no word on which days this trial Fastpass will be tested, though it is said the number of Fastpasses to be handed out by the cast members is limited.

This will be one things coming out of Walt Disney World that will be worth keeping an eye on during March. I hope that the fastpass test for the fireworks and the parade works well.

Walt Disney World is always thinking of new ways to make their guests feel even more special than they already do and the new fastpass should be interesting and not a problem.

I really don't like this idea. They need to keep the fireworks "spaces " open to everyone! The dessert party is great! But, fastpass for this is NOT a good thing IMO.

I'm in agreement with Monica. Everything at the parks should be open to all guests on a first come first serve basis. It would be heartbreaking for a guest to be there on a once in a lifetime trip with their fireworks location staked out all to find out that it is reserved for random fastpass only people.

Does this mean that everyone doesn't get to enjoy all of the things that we have done for years. Such as see fireworks display, or a stage show? Is Disney losing its magic? This is a poor idea. Everyone dreams of their Disney vacation so please, don't ruin it for us.
