There's no place like . . . Detroit? For Disney's "Oz: The Great and Powerful," the Michigan city will be the film's home for the remainder of the year as Raleigh Michigan Studios recently announced it will host the filming of the prequel.
"Oz," which will be Michigan's largest film shoot ever, will be the first movie to be filmed at Raleigh Studios. The new facility once was home to a General Motors plant.
Cast and crew, including director Sam Raimi and stars James Franco and Mila Kunis, will set up shop in the studios this August to begin filming the highly anticipated film. The project is then expected to keep the studio occupied through the rest of this year.
