If you have ever walked from one of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard in an attempt to get to Disney Springs you know it was often a rather stressful walk and the intersections were usually a mess of cars and people, all with places to be.
But now there are two pedestrian bridges at Disney Springs giving guests easier and safer access to the Marketplace from Hotel Plaza Boulevard and Buena Vista Drive.
The second walkway was recently opened to the public while the first bridge opened in September and takes guests over Buena Vista Drive.
The crosswalks across the roads are now closed and guests must use the pedestrian bridges.
In other Disney Springs transportation news, the parking lots at the shopping, dining, and entertainment district will soon be renamed and will feature fruit-inspired names. Look for Lemon, Watermelon, and Grapefruit lots soon.
The first parking garage to open at Disney Springs was named the "Orange" garage and the second will be named Lime.
These new fruity names should make finding your car just a bit easier.
