We brought you a story back in 2011 about the closing of Snow White's Scary Adventures as the Fantasyland expansion continues. Now that time is upon us as the last day to experience this classic Magic Kingdom ride is Thursday, May 31.
Snow White's Scary Adventures is one of the park's original attractions and in its earliest format did pack a scarier punch. In 1994 the ride underwent a revamping that took out a lot of the fear, added a bunch of Snow White, and even put in a scene featuring the princess and her prince. The seven dwarfs, who made a brief appearance in the original ride, had more of a presence after the rennovations.
The closing of the Adventures attraction paves the way for a newer, larger, improved Fantasyland. In its place will be a new Princess Fairytale Hall where guests can meet up with, appropriately enough, the Disney Princesses. This project is slated to be finished and open for guests sometime in late 2013. The princess may also make an appearance in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, a new roller coaster planned to open sometime in 2014.
For those Snow White fans out there, take heart. Even though her Scary Adventures will be no more, guests can still find the princess throughout the park. Look for her in the afternoon "Celebrate a Dream Come True" parade as well as the Main Street Electrical Parade at night. In addition, you can find her dancing with her prince during the "Dream Along With Mickey" show at the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. Also, Snow White will be making appearances, along with other princesses, at the front of the park near Town Square, and sometimes you can see her from time to time at the Germany pavilion at Epcot.

Sad :-( I'm always a little wistful when original attractions slip away. I'm looking forward to the Mine Cars though!

First Mr. Toad and now Snow White. So sad when the originals are taken away

Glad this ride closed. Scared my granddaughter to death in May and then she wouldn't go on any other rides for several days. I really couldn't figure out what age the ride was meant for. Too scary for small children, but I would think the older kids would think it was dumb.

I agree. It is really sad when beloved rides are replaced. :-(
