Spring at the Walt Disney World Resort Includes ‘Star Wars’ Weekends and a 24-Hour Party
Spring is in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort and there are a couple special events happening between now and the start of summer vacation season, including the 2015 Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Spring is full of special events at Walt Disney World Resort
Star Wars Weekends start May 15 and run through June 14 and will include special meet-and-greet opportunities with Star Wars characters and actors, the new Star Wars: Rebels show with James Arnold Taylor, indoor autograph sessions with celebrities in a location near Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, and a new complex for Darth's Mall near the Streets of America.
Celebrities announced for Star Wars Weekends include Ian McDiarmid (Senator/Emperor Palpatine), Warwick Davis, Ray Park (Darth Maul), Peter Mayhew, Frank Oz (Yoda), Ashley Eckstein, Daniel Logan (Boba Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones; Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels).
On May 22 the Magic Kingdom is hosting a 24-hour party to kick of the 'Coolest Summer Ever' at the Walt Disney World Resort. The party starts at 6 a.m. May 22 and ends at 6 a.m. on May 23.
The 24-Hour Party will be hosted by Olaf and will include character meet-and-greets, dance parties, special event merchandise, and specialty food and beverage items. Guests are invited to attend the 24-hour party in costume to show their Disney Side.
Another event happening through mid-May is the 22nd Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. There's still time to enjoy the topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, and the Garden Rocks Concert Series.
Artists remaining for this year's concerts include: The Guess Who (April 24-26), Taylor Dayne (May 1-3), Little River Band (May 8-10), and Herman's Hermits (May 15-17).

Hi! Last year I was in the park on May the 4th and it was AWESOME! Do they have anything planned this year? Exclusive pins? Shirts? They are so cool. We already have Both Star Wars Character Dinning but I was hoping for a proper celebrations like the ones they have held in previous years. Many Thanks!

I was also there last year for May the 4th but was not in Hollywood. As I was planning my upcoming trip, I did see that Hollywood has extra magic hours that date at night. I'm wondering if this might be due to a celebration? If I am there that night, I suppose I will find out! I am not a true Star Wars fanatic but I did enjoy the movies and characters. :)
