Yes, we just did this on our last trip. Lots of pictures somewhere in the trip report. I loved it!!! I would do it again. We had munchies on the boat. I am not sure if I would like to have dinner on the boat or not.

It will be my bestie, Tiff, her 2 daughters/my goddaughters and her Mom, stepfather and myself. So we were trying to think what would work out best.

If we were to do dinner I would want at least a two hour cruise. I just do not think one hour with the fireworks is enough time to really enjoy dinner and the fireworks. We only had chocolate covered strawberries and the fireworks and the hour seemed to fly by. The Grand does charge by the hour and you are only out for one hour from start to finish.

thanks for the information. Unless things change, I will be going to WDW in July 2015 for my cousin's wedding (yay for a Disney wedding!!!!). I have been thinking about seeing if some of my family members who will be there for the wedding would want to pitch in for a Grand 1 cruise.

For the Grand One? I don't think so. If you find out you can, let me know please.

JoAnn, when in July will you be at WDW? Assuming things haven't changed, that is. Just asking because I'm looking for people to share a cruise and really interested in the Grand 1. We'll be there July 10-21, me, my husband, and 7-year-old daughter.

If you haven't booked it yet I would say your chances are slim to none I'm afraid xxx

Robyn: You are most likely correct, but it's worth a shot, right? biggrin At the very least, maybe we'll be able to book a regular fireworks cruise together, as I've inquired on other forums, but still no luck.

crazycat: Yay, another cat person! Yes, cats rule! clapping I'll try to post some pics soon.

That is very true, you don't know till you try! And if you can be flexible over the days you are there you may get lucky! And if not, the normal cruises are still awesome Smile

I'm another crazy cat lady so yay to cat pics!

Actually, the Grand 1 does not sell out like the regular fireworks cruises do. There are a lot of nights that it sits in dock not used. At almost $800 per hour rental, it's too steep a price for most people.

Ah ok, I see people post about it being fully booked all the time in the wedding FB groups, they pretty much have to book it at 180 days or they don't get it. But maybe that's in wedding season and it's different outside of that?

Or maybe most people who book it for weddings do so during the daytime for their ceremonies and have the receptions on land. That would be a REALLY steep price to have your whole wedding on it! Shock

Yeah I've checked numerous times for night time cruises for fireworks and I booked ours 60 days out and could have had any night during the week on our May trip.
