There are three Hess gas stations/convenience stores in WDW. One is across from DTD. I have never heard of a Hess Supermarket anywhere in the US. A quick search returned numerous rumors on the other Disney World related boards.
The Hess corporate site does not mention supermarkets.
A search of this board yielded 11hits relating to "Hess".
For our short visits we shop at Hess. Also, we gas up the rental car at one of the WDW Hesses before returning it at MCO and have never been charged for gas.

See this is where us Scots get our words wrong..When I mentioned supermarket it was like a small shop that sells everything from beer to biscuits..We call that a supermarket ..LOL..
Fergi, they do sell beer and cookies.
If you are looking for a "hyper center" search for Walmart.

Mostly beer not cookies..
I'm thinking of hitting up the Hess opposite the boardwalk in march. If I can be bothered that is hoping to grab some drinks etc for the room.

Fergus here in the states, I think most people call them MiniMarts, Supermarkets to us are full blown grocery stores. But as long as they got what you want, it doesn't matter now does it!

Thanks for that...New question now...Where exactly is Hess at Boardwalk and does it stock wine and beer.?
I'm pretty sure if you walk out the entrance of the boardwalk you can see it right in front of you

If I remember correctly, if you go out the front entrance and stand at the bus stops, look ahead and slightly to the right and you see it within easy walking distance.
Thank you Robyn for jarring my memory.

Fergus, I can't tell you how far away this Hess station is from the Boardwalk but I can tell you it will have beer and wine. I live in Florida and our state law allows gas stations(or mini marts) to carry beer and wine, but not hard alcohol(i.e., scotch or vodka.) I've lived here for 10 years and I've never been in a Hess that doesn't carry beer so I'm sure the Hess across from the Boardwalk will carry beer and probably wine also. Although, you may have a limited supply to pick from, there should definitely be several options for you to choose from.

Fergus the Hess is directly across the street from the entrance to the Boardwalk. Its an easy walk, 5 minutes max from the front. It will take you longer to walk to the road from the front of the building then it will to walk to the Hess once you get to the road.

Thank you for that...I may just use the Hess at downtown as we will do our shopping there...
I read on other sites families who buy cases of water and haul it on the bus back to their resort. MY DH says to just carry a refillable and ask at the stands to refill, if you please. We use the collapsible water bottles too so they can go in a pocket empty. HOWEVER, if it was a case of beer, I do believe my DH and his friend (we are going with a couple who are good friends) would gladly haul back the load in order to have a wee night cap.
Hail to the King for bring up the question.

Fergi, if you are staying up north at the WL why would you want to go all the way to the "Boardwalk Hess" when there is a "Magic Kingdom Hess" which is a lot closer?
Open Google Maps and search for "28.393713,-81.57457".

Whoa.... Hold on.... Did we just stumble on to something here?????? Let's think about this for a moment....
There is a Hess Mart at the Car Care Center at the south end of the MK parking lot.
It's less than a 10 minute cab ride from the WL.
