Hi I'm Robyn and I'm addicted to WDW :D

I have just found this site through facebook so thought i would join. I'm on another disney forum but as its only me and hubby who go (no children) I thought I would join this site to get tips on how to have the best time just adults Smile

We're off for our 1st wedding anniversary in September (we also went for our honeymoon). Where abouts is everyone from? We're from Surrey in the UK.

Yep almost time for ADR's! We're staying in Miami for 2 nights (see, I know there's somewhere south of Disney Wink ) as we have friends who live on Miami Beach, then we're going to stay in a Villa in Davenport for 10 nights and then we're staying in four points by sheradon for 3 nights. Both my parents and my hubby's parents are coming (we all get along great) but they leave 2 weeks after arriving, and we're staying on for a few days. We're going to book either a wishes or illuminations cruise on our actual anniversary (if anyone wants to join us then let us know as there are only 6 of us), we're not sure which yet, people reccommend them both so we cant decide. We're going to book an ADR for Sci-fi diner but other than that we dont think we will be making any others. We're on a bit of a tight budget after hubby was made redundant (while we were ON our honeymoon, nasty people) and he was out of work for a few months. We'll be doing Halloween Horror Nights while we're there, plus the food and wine festival at epcot. I'm also trying to arrange to do a giraff feeding safari at Busch Gardens as a suprise for my hubby.

Always happy to have one more. Sept is our anniversary too! You'll probably run across my DW Scrappy some time along the way here. We just did the Illuminations cruise in January and it was fabulous! We had Vettlelover and his DW join us too. I think you will love it here at WDWFG.

RobynPrincess; Tell your hubby good luck on his new job. Wife and I will be at the world from 10/6 of this year to 10/20. Sounds like you will bouncing around quite a bit on your trip. Because of the kindness and generosity of mrhub and his wife scrappy we did the illuminations cruise with them recently and had a fantastic time. It comes highly reccomended. We have never done the other cruise (Wishes) so I can't comment on that one.

We don't have a WDW trip planned yet, but I have an upcoming trip to Disneyland in April. I haven't ever been!

Is that the round tower at the north end of I-Drive? It's supposed to be very nice, but a fair treck to Disney.

yes that's the one, its opposite wet and wild. it is a fair trek but we will have a car so its not the end of the world, 20mins max - we stayed near there on our last holiday and we drove to disney so it doesnt really matter to us Smile

Sounds like the family trip will be a great time. Do you all visit the parks together, or split up and meet for meals?

muchlove Welcome Robyn and Congratulations on your 1 yr anniversary. We honeymooned at WDW also...but it was "quite a few" anniversaries ago silly

We're originally from New York state (near Niagara Falls) but ended up in North Carolina by way of Orlando!! We miss being so close to the Mouse's House but find NC to be an easier area to live in day-to-day wink

You'll really enjoy this board, the folks here are very friendly and VERY knowledgable about all things Disney...enjoy!

Ooh! Robyn, you should go read LifeisForLiving's trip report if you haven't already! So exciting -- and romantic! The whole trip was full of surprises for his wife! Very cool.

Also, TeacherDrama and Caitiesus's report is great if you're celebrating a romantic trip together!

Welcome Robin.
When I joined this group I came from another one, as you did, where all the talk was about the kids. I thought grownup meant after all the grandkids left home and one was on Medicare. I found out I was wrong but found a great bunch of folks that don't seem to get their shorts in a knot.
It's a great forum and I know you will enjoy it.

I find that getting my shorts in a knot is highly unproductive on my trips to Disney World, so I do try to avoid it laugh
