What date are you going?

I haven't booked anything for my October trip yet (because we're probably canceling) but if we do go, I'm sure that we'll do MNSSHP. I absolutely love this party, have you done it before?

Oh I see know...I didn't realize it was by phone only, I was looking for a way to pay online

I'm really excited for all the Halloween decorations and costumes! Will you dress up? I'm not sure if we are or not yet ( I want to but my fiance isn't sure )

I dressed up last year, two scarves turned a regular outfit into a gypsy costume. I dressed my husband as Indiana Jones, which was crazy easy, some khaki pants and a shirt with a brown fedora. Maybe your fiance would do a costume that was from "normal" clothes?

I didn't know tickets were on sale yet!! DH and I are going for our anniversary on October 18th! I'm hoping to book our tickets when we're down there next week! Right now i'm thinking we'll probably just go as an 80's rocker couple, but I'd ideally like to go as Carl & Ellie!

We used to go all the time but I just can't justify the price anymore. I still think anyone who hasn't been should try it once but we'd rather have a nice dinner somewhere.

Hi Petriedish!
Thank you! I agree, it can't arrive soon enough I am driving myself crazy with anticipation -luckily my DH is out of state and is getting my "OMG we're going to WDW" conversations in small doses yuck
I hope you have a fabulous time at MNSSHP on the 14th, that date was our next choice but we'd have to re-arrange the Spirit of Aloha dinner.
Have a wonderful trip!! mickey

My wife and I went in 2010 with my aunt & cousin (Cast Members). It was a lot of fun we were not sure about going because we have no kids but my aunt insisted and I'm so glad she did. We are going again this year. heres a pic of us in costume. I'm real burry as I moved.

Here's a better pic of my costume

Payday is tomorrow. Finalizing my vacation package and buying my MNSSHP tickets. Sept 25th!!! My arrival date! I don't know if I'll dress up. I'm thinking of heading into Epcot when I first arrive early in the day and getting my face painted there before heading over. I liked the gypsy scarves idea, though - simple, quick change to Halloween mode. I've been to MNSSHP twice before and LOVE IT! It's been 5 or 6 years since my last party. So exited! Whoohoo!!!! clapping

I know its probably a bit late to be asking this (as i already have tickets) but can someone please explain MNSSHP to me please? what happens? What are the must do's? Unless special things happen on rides, we are less bothered about doing them as we will have loads of other days in MK.

We did MNSSHP on our honeymoona and it was such a great time. We totally suffered a sugar high from all the candy..and they do not skimp on it either..they give the good stuff! The short lines for rides were another bonus for us as well!

Nothing special happens ON the rides. In fact I've wrote an article at one point (can't remember for who) suggesting that you don't count Party time as Park time. At MNSSHP there are many Character meet & greet areas set up for photo ops with the Characters in their Halloween Costumes, trick or treat stations all over the park for candy gathering, special dance parties set up in different areas, a Vilians show in front of the Castle, special HalloWishes Fireworks, and the Boo To You Parade which is amazing. The year we at at Tony's during the party there was a special Halloween dessert menu that was scrumptious. The Dapper Dans are dressed up as civil war ghosts, and there's a fantastic Ghost woman entertaining folks in queue at the Haunted Mansion.

I would say pick one or two rides that you enjoy doing at night, but really go to have fun at the Party.

We've been to MNSSHP three times and we're planning to go when we head back this year. A great night and it's cool to see the castle lit up when the Villain's take over. The Haunted Mansion is amazing, the staff all dress up, there are different photo pass opportunities, they add in ghosts including a coach driver. There's a lot of smoke and lights adding to the atmosphere and the singing/comedy spirit entertaining the crowds is well worth it.

As I said earlier about photo ops, well you also get some characters you don't normally see a lot.

You will have the BEST time! The park is dressed in its mild spooky finest, and people watching - from the tiniest children to adults, are dressed up and are really into the spirit of things! I definitely suggest that you do a little dressing up, even if it's just a fun hat, or a homemade, character-inspired costume. I dressed as pirate-ish in 2009, with a pink and white striped boatneck, khakis, a bandanna on my head, and big hoop earrings. You can have so much fun with an imaginative costume, without worrying about packing something really big or bulky. We also had a blast with the FREE face painting - my daughter and I both had our faces done, and it was so neat.

Trick-or-treating around the different areas is fun too, but it's not so much about that for me. I just really love the people watching, the parade, the character interactions, and the amazing decorations and music. I especially love it because it's not gory. I think you will just love it!
