Just got back from MK. Did sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom, Philharmagic, and thunder mountain railroad. Almost no wait/no long lines on those.

We just ate lunch at the boardwalk bakery, and about to head out to Epcot to do the perry game and dinner at Japan.

Great trip report, Z! Sorry I was late to the party as far as chiming in. I was in San Francisco all week! Looks like you had an absolutely MAGICAL time!

I would love to watch the keepers feeding the animals. I really love Animal Kingdom - I really surprised myself that I enjoy it that much because I hate going to the zoo. I know you can't compare the zoo to the Animal Kingdom.

I was going to post more photos, but for some reason, photobucket is not displaying my new uploads from last night, and I could not upload photos this morning either. So more photos will have to wait after I get back.

We have been packing our stuff this morning. We plan on spending most of the morning at MK to get more of the Sorcerer cards. Then we will make our way to Epcot, spend the early afternoon there, before leaving for the airport. Our vacation is almost over.

Still, we will be back in 2 1/2 months, right after Thanksgiving, for our Disney cruise and a few days at WDW.

Ok, pictures are finally downloading.

We started out the day yesterday at MK just to play the Scocerer game.

We had dinner at Tokyo dining at Japan pavilion. We sat by a window with killer views. In fact we even saw a rainbow during dinner.

For dinner I had one of their bento box.

This is a selection of sushi.

And this is the volcano roll.

They were all very yummy.

We are now sitting in the lobby of the boardwalk, cooling down after walking back from Epcot. We leave for the airport in a few minutes. Our vacation is over. Sad

Those are great pics Zz....it's always so sad to leave "The happiest place on earth." Thanks for the daily updates and pics. I hate that I have to wait for another 400 days before I am there.

We are sitting at MCO. Everything is on schedule with our flight home, and the MCO free Internet seems to be working this time.

I have quite a few more photos to put into this trip report after I get back, and I also have a few minor "gripes" that I encountered during this trip. Will post those later after I recover a bit.

We're back! Our flight went smoothly, other than the annoying long wait for our luggage (Midway airport has one of the WORST baggage service and waiting area that I know of).

It was a great trip, full of new things and meeting new people. I'll post a few more reports and photos once I have them all downloaded to my desktop.

And now, the countdown begins again for our next trip in 2 1/2 months.

A few more photos here and there from our trip.

This is when we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is still my most favorite Disney resort, and we hope to stay here again some time next year (and get to do the Wanyama Safari finally!).

A lot of our time was spent at Epcot, what with the Pin event being there, and it being my most favorite theme park.

Hum... do you think the park is busy?

I finally got to snap the photo from this angle, even though the lightning isn't quite right for my camera (which means I will have to do this again on the next trip when the sun is in a better position). From this angle, you get to see both the Morocco pavilion tower AND the Tower of Terror! I think when they painted the Hollywood Tower hotel, they had to choose a color close enough to the Morocco pavilion so that the tower hotel would not be too obvious to someone looking across the lagoon.

And at MK, we had a wonderful time riding Thunder Mountain Railroad.

A few more photos from this past Pin Trading event at Epcot.

Even though the event was not sold-out, there were still long lines almost everywhere.

The most popular lines were at the pin trading boards.

A few of the themed decor at the event.

Every year I walk past this shadow box, I want it even more!

This is the pin trading area

And this is the shot of our pin partners from HK Disneyland, showing the pins that have been or will be released at that theme park.

More photos from this trip. We only spent one day at DHS, so I didn't shoot a lot of photos. Here are a few of them.

When we came in through the the bag check area, we found Mickey hiding behind a wall waving at us. He was trying to be incognito with his sunglasses, but many of us still recognized him.

ToT had almost no line to get in.

We wondered around at the back of DHS after watching the Muppet's 3D show.

A few more photos taken around the Boardwalk Resort and on one of our boat rides.

This is the view of our room from the verandah of the Boardwalk. Our room is just one floor up and the farthest on the left. I miss it already.

Waiting for our boat to DHS.

In cooler weather, I would have preferred to walk to DHS. But it was just too hot and humid, so we made use of the boat quite a bit.

I think the Epcot resort area presents the most convenient location for many purposes, mainly because it is the only area where you can walk to two different theme parks (Epcot and DHS). It is certainly very convenient when you have an event at Epcot itself. I've been told that during Food and Wine, all the resorts in this area are typically booked solid, which isn't surprising.

A few pictures from our morning spent at Animal Kingdom.

Of course, we did Everest

and oh, the monkeys were there, in case anyone was wondering!

We went on a 2-week safari. OK, they need to really think through the new ride scenario here. While they've taken out Wilson and the poachers and Big Red and Little Red, what they substitute in is utterly boring.

The lion wasn't sleeping tonight.

I've always loved this view, and would snap a shot each time I pass by it.

This was an unexpected shot. This crane was just standing there, striking a pose, in front of that background. While the lighting isn't good (it was almost in my face), when can one get this kind of shot again? So I couldn't pass it and snapped a photo.

Well, you may not believe it, but I actually did take that photo just for you, after reading your question on whether they have monkey there. Smile

More photos from the first MNSSHP of the year on Sept. 11, 2012.

Waiting for HalloWishes to start.

More photos from HalloWishes

And now, we wait for the Boo To You parade. Of course, the highlight of the "pre-parade" experience is the headless horseman. I lost count how many times I tried to get a good snapshot of him, and have failed. This is my latest attempt, and it isn't very good either.

And now, comes the parade.

Of course, one must ride the Haunted Mansion during MNSSHP. We always love the cast members at this attraction on such a night.

It was a fun evening.

Oh my gosh these just made me even more excited for MNSSHP if that's possible!
