Good morning, Kendal Hogan's total body sculpt (I'll be feeling that one later) I went a little heavy with the weights! I also did Element's am practice to get a good stretch and some meditation in. My usual mean green smoothie for breakfast, I did add in som protein powder, chopped veggies and beans with a tofu ranch dressing and for dinner cabbage steaks, brown rice and some sweedish meatless meatballs. If it doesn't warm up soon there will be some groundhog meatballs for the carnivores in my family. Stay warm and safe, good luck with that ark building King Fergus and most of all keep dancing. xoxo

Well I have been very bad, I made a yummy chocolate fudge cake for the family yesterday with every intention of abstaining, I sat and served them all some for dessert after dinner, but just before bedtime I caved and had a sliver gaah I had been so pleased with my willpower up until then, not really got an excuse.

Monday morning is weighing in time too, so it turns out I have lost the few pounds I put on immediately after my surgery, but no more, so am still at 4lbs loss with another 18lbs to shift. Still not getting much exercise, have been out walking the dog a few times this week (much to his relief as he's about as stir crazy as I am). We have been lucky here in Yorkshire the weather hasn't been too bad, though we have had a couple of downpours, the worst one while I was in the woods with the dog and my dad was looking after the kids on the playground on Saturday afternoon!

Hospital on Wednesday so can find out the next stage of exercises I am allowed to do and maybe modify some exercises to do at home. DH looking at buying us all bikes too through a work scheme where we get a discount, though there's no way I could ride for a few months with one arm.

The grocery stores are full! I had to go get my regular groceries and it was awful!
So staying in rest of day! Weights and trying out my new dance DVD today.
Dinner is spinach salad and roasted red potatoes.
So happy! This weekend picked out all my cabinets for the kitchen!Smile Now just need to decide on countertops!
Stay warm, safe, and move it!Smile

Congrats on the weight loss!! A sliver of dessert won't hurt you. It's better to give in for a taste than hold off and eat the whole thing!!Smile
Good luck on the exercises! Remember not to push too much all at once.Smile

Just a sliver isn't so bad once in a while! Just remember 90/10. If you're doing 90% good eating you're on the right track! 100% good is never fun or good for you, because if you never allow yourself a goodie a sliver can easily turn into a whole cake. Good luck at the doc.

Good morning 5 indoor miles so far and 1 outside today. But the biggest workout by far was just getting dressed to go out, fleece leggings, 2 pairs of sweat pants, tank top, long sleeve shirt, sweater, sweat jacket, coat, 2 pairs of gloves, ear warmers and a hat. Oh my just worked up a sweat typing all that! It was +1 when I went out and tomorrow it will be -10 followed by snow 8-12 inches +. The + is what's worrying me! Still eating clean and green (vegan) When we get snowed in I'm going to put in some Disney/Pixar movies and enjoy some organic popcorn. Stay warm and safe and keep Disney dreaming.

Hi everyone! Wow, glad to have found this thread. I need to start getting back on track, because you never know when the DH will say pack your bags and lets go to WDW! OK, so that isn't really going to happen, but in this weather, a girl can dream.

So after a busy morning of shoveling white stuff, and shooting groundhogs, I managed about 4.4 miles at the local mall. Tomorrow sounds like ground hog target practice, followed by more shoveling.

Good morning all! Well the fine snow has started! So I am staying in the house and see how much we get today. Calling for the worst storm since 2009! Hoping the DH can get back tonight from work, if he isn't working outages.
No walking outside today in this stuff. So walking inside and doing my R Simmons tone and sweat DVD!
Everyone stay nice and warm and safe esp if you are in the South or Northeast!
Keep moving!

This morning had my follow up with surgeon, stitches out and all looking good, so over the next 4 weeks I can gradually increase my use of my right arm, so will be able to do most things but no heavy lifting (try that with a 2yr old and 4yr old to look after). Another 4mths after that and all being well back up to full strength, so in about a month I will start exercising properly again, not that I ever did much extra apart from what was involved in running a playgroup and taking care of my own children and a dog, but determined to be lean and toned by October.

That's great news! I can't imagine trying to wrestle two kids with only one arm, so kudos to you!

Today's exercise will be working the glutes and legs with lots of squats: I will be washing baseboards all afternoon! awesome and to quote good King Fergus: just keep dancing ya'll! I did the Hot Dog Dance with my DS this morning wink

We got quite a battering here yesterday afternoon and last night, lots of power cuts and trees down but thankfully nothing more serious. Praying we don't flood again in the coming weeks, when it floods in Todmorden/Hebden Bridge the government doesn't offer unlimited resources to help out victims like when the Thames breaks it's banks. We are on high ground but our local businesses and friends living in the valley bottoms are still recovering from floods 2yrs ago. DH thought he would be getting out of work today as the west coast main line was closed and the roof had come off both Crewe station and Manchester airport train station and that is the route he is driving at the moment, but all trains running as normal this morning.

Good Thursday afternoon!! Well we survived the snow! Not as much as they called for, but it was enough! 9 inches and it is the dry stuff so not many power outages! yay
I just got my workout, getting the snow off two cars! Whew! My hair is soaked!
This is the most snow here since 2009! It was strange seeing it.
I will try to post some pix from my computer this weekend. My pix like King Fergus' come up sideways or upside down! Lol
Anyways, hope you all have a great day!
Hoping my DH doesn't get sent out of town to restore power on Valentine's!
Happy Valentine's Day in case I don't get back here tomorrow! muchlove
King Fergus and DW and DS have a wonderful Valentine's get-away!! Very jealous right now!! Smile

Good afternoon!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
The snow melted so we were able to get out and about which is really good!
Got my 4 miles outside today. A bit chilly but I hurried. Weights today too.
Hope everyone is keeping up with your workouts! Winter is a good time to vary your workout and introduce something new so you don't get bored. Plus, give your muscles a chance to rest.
Having mussels and salad for dinner.
Keep moving and have a good night!Smile

Good morning after over 30 inches of snow and no internet for a few days the snow has started up again, but I'm going to get out and do at least a mile or 2 outside today before I totally lose it! I did Jillian Michael's no more trouble zones and a nice slow flow just to get moving. I can't wait for dinner veggie burgers with a bit of spicy guacamole in lettuce wraps. Stay warm and safe and keep Disney dreaming! xoxo
