I REALLY liked that castle decor. I thought I'd hate it, but it was very impressive. I think that 50th anniversary was the best "promo" thus far.

Actually, the mini village is part of the Storybook Land. It is what you'll see in that attraction. It just happen that the background of it from this view is the Matterhorn. Neat, eh?

Don't they get in trouble for floating where the guests can see?

That's another good desktop one, Z. Who knew they could make that castle so beautiful (and still so realistic) with a bunch of plastic??

If you've never done it, then it's a good excuse to. However, for me, having done it twice (once for breakfast, once for lunch), I have no more desire to do it again. While the experience was fun, the food didn't amount to much. I some time wonder if they cut back on the food quality and variety and hope to distract people from it due to the character/casts.

They better not try that fast one at Crystal Palace, which is still my most favorite place to eat at MK.

Agreed on the food at CRT and your point about Crystal Palace.

At the Animation Academy, one of the most overlooked and underrated attraction.

We try to do this at least once during every visit. In all the years we have done it, we have drawn Mickey many times (straight on and in profile), Donald (both happy and angry), Tigger, and Eeyore. It is one of our group's most favorite activity to do when we're at DHS.

ZapperZ, this is a great point so I started a thread on the Animation Academy. Lest my questions take over this thread.

This is sorta a follow-up to the picture on the Animation Academy. After you do your drawing, if you happened to have drawn Mickey, you can then walk over next door (within the building) and can usually find Sorcerer Mickey there for a meet and greet. This is what we also normally do.

In this instance, we did draw a profile Mickey and had him signed our sketches. Unfortunately, there were 12 of us in the group, and halfway through signing the sketches, Mickey had to stretch his arms as he was cramping from the autographs.

In this picture, he is signing my sketch.

What a good idea! I don't know HOW those people learn to do such great autographs, much less with those giant gloves on.

It is about one more week before I leave for my next WDW trip to attend this year's Pin Celebration event. So I thought I post a picture from one of the best pin event I've ever attended at WDW from May of 2008 - the Expedition Pins.
